The TDECU culture is one that has been almost 60 years in the making. We began when ten people combined $5 each for a loan to help a member buy a much-needed refrigerator. The culture our members experience today is solidly based on the principles of people helping people. Today we serve 190,000 members with more than $2 billion in assets, and while we are proud to be the largest credit union in Houston, we are most proud of the lives we are improving along the way. 2 With the addition of FMC Technologies FCU, TDECU will have 41 service locations, including 34 branches; 19 located throughout greater Houston. TDECU offers a complete selection of convenient and competitive products and services, including a full suite of deposit products as well as mortgage, auto and personal loan products, online and mobile banking. TDECU also offers, through its subsidiaries, retirement planning and wealth management, personal and business insurance products, and full title and realty services. Members can also access a worldwide network of over 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs, through the Allpoint Network. We created this guide to provide you with valuable information about our products and services. TELEPHONE BANKING TDECU Telephone Banking will be available to you beginning Monday, July 28. • Max, our automated Telephone Banking system, can assist you 24/7 with the following: – Account Transfers and Balances – Loan Information – Reporting a Lost or Stolen TDECU card • To access Max, call 800.839.1154, option 1. •Enter your new TDECU member number. The last four digits of your SSN will serve as your temporary PIN. You will then be prompted to change your PIN. •If you forget your Telephone Banking PIN or need a new one, please call TDECU Member Care at 800.839.1154, beginning July 28. 3 HAVE AN FMC TECHNOLOGIES FCU SAVINGS ACCOUNT? We will automatically convert your FMC Tech FCU savings account(s) to a new TDECU savings account the weekend of July 25-27. If you prefer accessing your funds electronically, open your TDECU Free Personal Checking account and request your Visa® debit card. If you have already opened a TDECU account, your FMC Tech FCU account will not be combined with your current TDECU account. Therefore, you will have two separate TDECU accounts, which you may choose to combine beginning July 28. 4 TO DO on or after July 28 Contact any agencies, companies and/or your employer who directly deposit funds into your account. You will be asked to provide your new share/savings account number along with our routing and transit number (313185515). We will redirect all deposits with FMC Tech FCU’s routing and transit number until 1/31/15. Please check this off your to do list before then! Contact any retailers, credit card companies, doctors, schools, Harris County Toll Road, etc. who are scheduled to automatically draft funds from your account and give them your new share/savings account number along with our routing and transit number (313185515). We will redirect all automatic drafts with FMC Tech FCU’s routing and transit number through 1/31/15. Instruct these parties to make the change effective July 26 or later. You only need their name and e-mail address, mobile phone number, or bank account number. Account-to-Account Transfers Transfer money securely between your TDECU checking, savings, and money market accounts, or between your TDECU accounts and your accounts held at other financial institutions. Search ‘TDECU’ from your mobile App Store to download the TDECU mobile app. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Why did FMC TECHNOLOGIES and TDECU merge? The Board of Directors of both credit unions felt it was in the best interest of all members to combine the strengths of both Credit Unions to serve members. When did FMC TECHNOLOGIES and TDECU merge? The legal merger of the two credit unions was effective June 1, 2014. During the weekend of July 25-27, all former FMC Technologies accounts will be converted to TDECU accounts. How are the two credit union memberships going to be affected by the merger? The current membership of both TDECU and FMC Technologies will be enhanced by added facilities, products, and services. There is no negative impact on the current memberships. What will my new TDECU account number be? Your new account number will be seven digits and can be found on the enclosed letter. Will I have to sign a new TDECU signature cards? No, TDECU will not require a new signature card for routine account transactions. If you request that TDECU perform an account modification(s), a new signature card will need to be signed at that time. Am I eligible for all products and services offered by TDECU? Yes! As of June 1, 2014, you were eligible for all services and products offered by TDECU. Will I have access to TDECU shared branches? Yes! As of July 28, 2014, your FMC Tech FCU account will be on our TDECU system and you will have access to all TDECU Service Center branches. Will the hours of operation for my branch change after the merger? The branch will be open 8:00am -5:00pm Monday thru Friday. Can I still contact my branch directly? Effective immediately, you will have the option of using TDECU’s Member Care team for account assistance. Please contact us at 800-839-1154 with any account questions or inquiries. 7 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (CONT’D) Questions about my loans Will my automatic loan payment arrangement remain the same with TDECU? Yes! TDECU will ensure that your loan payments that were paid from your FMC savings account or direct deposit are paid in the same manner with your new TDECU account. Questions about TDECU Bill Pay Will I have access to TDECU’s Bill Pay system? Yes! As a new member of TDECU you will have access to TDECU Bill Pay Services once you have opened a checking account. You will access this service through your online banking access. Will my loans have the same rate and term after the merger? FMC TECHNOLOGIES loan rates and terms will be honored. Questions about automated telephone banking Will I have access to TDECU’s automated telephone banking, MAX? Yes! As a TDECU member you will have full access to our automated telephone baking system, MAX. As part of the conversion process we will be setting your account up with access to MAX. There is no additional request or process you must complete other than the initial login. Will I need to change the lien holder on my collateralized loans? Yes. You will need to contact your insurance company and provide them with the following information for TDECU as the new lien holder: Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, 1001 FM 2004, Lake Jackson, TX, 77566. The new policy/binder will need to be faxed to 979.238.8480 /Attn: Insurance Department. Questions about TDECU Online Banking How do I access TDECU Online Banking? As a new TDECU member, you may enroll via the online option at tdecu.org, contact Member Care, or visit your local TDECU branch. 8 What number will I use to reach MAX? You may contact Max for account information at 800.839.0420. What pin number will I use when accessing MAX? Your initial pin number will be the last 4 digits of the primary account holder’s social security number. Upon your initial login you will be prompted to change the pin number to a 4 digit code of your choice. HOW TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT IF I LIVE OUTSIDE TDECU’S IMMEDIATE SERVICE AREAS. If I don’t live in Houston, can I still take advantage of TDECU’s member benefits? Some people think that because TDECU isn’t near where they live or work, they won’t be able to take advantage of all the great products and services TDECU offers. Fortunately, that is not the case. We serve members no matter where they call home. How do I open an account? Opening an account is easy! Visit us online at TDECU.org/membership. Click on “Apply Now” and you will be guided through the process of opening your account online. You can also call us 24/7 at 800.839.1154 and one of our Member Care team can assist you. It’s that easy! What will I need to open an account? • Social Security Number • U.S. Driver’s license, U.S. State-issued ID or passport • Your current financial institution ABA routing and account number (if you have a check from your current financial institution, this information is on the check) • Employment information • Previous address information • Information on any joint account holder Now that my account is open, how can I access my account? 24/7 FREE – Online and Mobile Banking, Online Bill Pay. Conveniently check your balance, pay your bills, transfer funds, view cancelled checks, setup account alerts and much more. 24/7 FREE – Member Care access. Can I get a loan if I’m not near a TDECU branch? Yes, you can! We have some of the lowest rates around and without the hidden fees. Apply on-line at TDECU.org or give us a call at 800.839.1154 and let us know how we can assist you. Technology is a wonderful thing. Once approved for the loan, you can now sign all of the loan documents electronically. 9 WE UNDERSTAND THAT BANKING REMOTELY REQUIRES SPECIAL SERVICES. Over 5,000 FREE shared-branching locations. We have partnered with other credit unions around the country so you can go into their branch and make a deposit or withdrawal just as if you were in a TDECU branch.
