WEBSITE AND HOME BANKING
SYSTEM THIS MARCH!
2015 is off to an exciting start at Cross Valley FCU! This March we will be launching our new website and home banking platform!
The launch of the new website, which will offer quick and easy access to essential information, will also feature a clean
uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced content focused on Cross Valley FCU’s mission to provide our members
with “solutions for your financial life!”.
As part of this new launch, Cross Valley FCU will also unveil an innovative and improved online banking system complete with
new products and security features to make home banking more efficient, secure and user friendly.
2015 Scottie
Saver Challenge
Cross Valley FCU’s new online banking platform, which will continue to be called eVirtual Branch, will deliver improved service to
members by providing enhanced security features such as individualized challenge questions that will confirm the user’s identity
with a more comprehensive registration process. The most advanced and remarkable feature that Cross Valley FCU’s online
banking system will incorporate will be an advanced ePay capability. By using our new ePay members will be able to pay bills
effortlessly while tracking spending habits to meet their financial goals, and even access a new feature called Popmoney® (please
see ITs Bit article in this newsletter!).
At Cross Valley FCU it is our goal to improve efficiency and accessibility to our services for our members. With this online project
to launch in March, we are invested in keeping up with the need for technological advancements. By offering mobile banking
and online banking solutions members will have access to their money and banking needs virtually anywhere.
Please be sure to visit www.crossvalleyfcu.org for additional information and most importantly for

DREAM CAR.
DREAM LOAN.
ASKAUTO™ APP.
Shopping for a car can be a complicated, stressful experience. What if you could find help to make the process easier?
Now you can, with our new AskAuto app for your smartphone or tablet.
The AskAuto app is a powerful research and lending tool that can help you shop for your dream car and apply for a
great loan through Cross Valley Federal Credit Union.
The app is easy to use. Let’s say you’re out shopping for vehicles on Sunday afternoon and see three cars that you like.
Simply scan the VINs into your mobile device to get the average retail cost, EPA mileage estimates and make notes
about each vehicle. The AskAuto app saves the information so you can compare later.
While you’re on the lot, we can even send you messages about available loans or dealerships we have good
partnerships with – giving you good, trustworthy information right when you need it.
Once you’ve decided on your car, apply for your loan anytime, anywhere using your smartphone or mobile device. Just
scan your driver’s license* and let the AskAuto app do most of the work for you. Your loan application will prefill your
personal information and the vehicle information you saved earlier.
With the AskAuto app, you’ll stay organized, save time and have information to make an informed purchase right at
your fingertips.
Want to take the AskAuto app for a spin? Download today at http://askauto.loanliner.com/market. Be sure to select
Cross Valley Federal Credit Union on the app’s startup screen.
*Driver’s license scan not available in all states.

COURTESY
PAY!
Cross Valley FCU understands that mistakes can sometimes happen when using your checking account that may
cause you to become overdrawn. Effective January 2015,
you can opt-in to enjoy the benefits of Courtesy Pay.
Courtesy Pay is a safety net to protect against life’s every day unexpected occurrences and
emergencies. It provides you the with the security and peace of mind of knowing your transaction
will be processed, not returned for insufficient funds, and it prevents you from being charged any
additional fees by a merchant.
Have you ever written a check and later realized you didn’t have sufficient funds in
your account to cover it? Of course, that’s why Cross Valley FCU offers Courtesy Pay.
Here’s how this service works:
• Courtesy Pay covers overdraws on your checking account up to $500, (including the per
item Courtesy Pay fee).
• This is not a loan and therefore you will not need to complete and application.
• If you’ve already signed up for Overdraft Protection Transfer, funds will first be
transferred from the account you’ve designated to cover the overdraft. If sufficient
funds aren’t available in that account, or if the transfer isn’t enough, the overdraft
will be paid through Courtesy Pay.
• After the overdraft is paid, you must make a deposit within 30 days to bring your
checking account into positive balance.
• Courtesy Pay is based on a tiered fee structure. Please check the Fees on our
website for details.
Courtesy Pay is available on personal checking accounts only. It covers overdrafts from ACH, draft or
check posting, ATM/Debit transactions, including Point of Sale; or teller line transactions done on the
account. Please note that Cross Valley FCU reserves the right to reject overdrafts against any account until
it can verify the account is being maintained in good standing. Certain restrictions apply. For additional
information or to opt-in to the program, visit any Cross Valley FCU branch or call (570) 823-6836.

Cross Valley Federal Credit
Union recently held its annual
Scottie Saver Holiday Party
at Cross Valley FCU’s Main
Branch. Scottie Savers and
their families celebrated the
afternoon with Santa Claus,
Scottie, the Cross Valley FCU
mascot, and special guest, TUX
from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
Penguins. After enjoying many
delicious treats and receiving
some holiday surprises, the
children had an opportunity to
have their pictures taken with
Santa and his special Cross
Valley FCU helpers.
Scottie Savers is just one of
Cross Valley FCU’s two financial
literacy programs. This
particular program encourages
children ages 3-12 years to
learn the basics of saving and
instills in them healthy money
management habits.
