Hacia Mi Piel is an exhibition by this artists from Elche
For the first time an exhibition of
works by Elche­born
experimental expressionist artist
Ramón Juan is being shown in
Cartagena.
Under the title “Hacia Mi Piel”,
the works on display show two
techniques which are among the
most innovative used by Ramón
Juan throughout his career, and
which characterize two of the
three series of works in the
exhibiton. The works included in
“Raíces”, which include “Color de
un Recuerdo”, are created by
using the fibres from palm tree trunks, whilst in the series named “la piel de mis sentimientos”
different paints are combined to create a kind of artificial leather, reflecting the artist’s knowledge
of the industrial processes used in shoe­making.
The third series of works on display is entitled “Estudio formal”, and includes pieces which weigh
as much as 70 kilograms, blending traditional and modern elements.
Over the years Ramón Juan has constantly experimented with new artistic media and forms of
expression, and this exhibition is no exception.
Opening hours to the public are Monday to from 10.00 to 20.00 every day of the week.
