Lovely June
Far up in the deep blue sky,
Great white clouds are floating by;
All the world is dressed in green;
Many happy birds are seen,
Roses bright and sunshine clear
Show that lovely June is here.

GEMINI
The sun in your sign makes this the
ideal time for new beginnings. If there
is an area of your life in which you
would like to sweep away everything
and start again from scratch then go
for it. You are limited only by your
own imagination.
CANCER
You need to face up to a problem
that has been giving you sleepless
nights. It won’t go away of its own
accord so be brave and tackle it head
-on. Once you stop playing mind
games with yourself you will find a
solution.

Listen UP!!!
By Lloyd Gesner
Her name was Lily.
As a newly minted teacher, she was my mentor. Always on top of things, she was
a model of professionalism.
Her classes were a joy to behold—well planned, well prepared and well presented. She knew each of her students better than they knew themselves.
Now in her 80s, no longer children, her students still remember what “Miss West
said.”
What we—teachers—knew that the students didn’t know was that in June, when
the school year was almost over, she wouldn’t let down her hair and say, “We
made it, guys, let’s dance!”
It’s good advance for all of us.
June is a red rose month. It’s 2016 and WE MADE IT. So let’s enjoy the weather,
the garden, the excursions and each other.
Let’s keep Lakeshore Place hopping!!!

Oodles of fun
Residents went wild for the Hands on Exotics animal demonstration. Don’t miss another visit by these fun creatures on June 21
at 2 p.m. in the Waterview Lounge.
Betty Ritchie, at left, and Bev Cowan, at
right, play billiards. Above, residents
gather around June Thomson as she
plays a little ditty on the piano.
