JOB DESCRIPTION
Engineer, Junior
Scope of Position
Conducts foodservice technology lab research under supervision. Writes basic and expanded technical
reports documenting test conditions and results.
Education
Post-secondary degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
degree preferred.
Skills/Experience:
•
Strong ability to analyze and synthesize data.
•
Ability to follow through all projects to completion, with demonstrable problem-solving aptitude.
•
Proficient in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
•
Excellent communication and writing skills.
•
Experience in the foodservice industry would be beneficial, but not essential.
Job Duties:
Conduct testing on foodservice equipment and hot water systems using standard test methods, as well as
writing technical reports summarizing performance. Work with higher-level engineers to establish appropriate
test procedures for evaluating performance of non-standard equipment. Assist with building, setup, maintenance, cleanup, and decommissioning test station(s), as well as building, verifying, and maintaining test
instrumentation. Other relevant duties, as assigned.
