I think he has a legitimate plan for working out one of our country’s most notorious problems. What do you think? Solution to Save Gasoline Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier’s pay while he’s there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved. —George Carlin email: [email protected] JULIE HOOVER Sales Executive “Let me help you find a new home for your baby.” RADERGROUP Residential Brokerage 7307 S. This was necessary due to the creek flooding at the rally site. We did not want to risk injury to any of our friends while riding in the mud. Our new rally date is August 23–26. It will be the same party that was scheduled for July 5–8 with the same bands (including Geneva) and vendors. And of course we will have dollar beer. Look for our ad next month in Oklahoma Biker Rag. Tony held his annual ten day motorsickle run during one of the wettest June months on record. The last time I saw mud this deep was at Bikes and Bulls Rally at Pryor in April. Yet bikers braved the torrential rains that poured during the first week of the rally to attend the best damn party in Oklahoma. I haven’t heard recent numbers, but I believe I can reasonably say Sparks America Motorsickle Run has become the largest party of any kind held within Oklahoma’s borders. Oklahoma Bikers if you are failing to attend this event you are f*#%ing up. This is the closest event you will find to mimic the madness many travel a thousand miles for in Sturgis, South Dakota. Yet this is a biker party — and those who are easily offended by nudity or drunkenness should keep their asses on the porch. Personally I can’t wait for whatever Tony has dreamed up for us next! OKLAHOMA BIKER RAG 17 18 Roger Dale Willard OKLAHOMA BIKER RAG “E-Z” July 27, 1957 May 18, 2007 OKLAHOMA BIKER RAG SWEPT OFF THE FLOOR 19 KCA ICKIN’ at ANCER’S SS SOUTH 40 CANCER SUCKS It occurred once again. Oklahoma Bikers demonstrated they don’t have enough sense to get out of the rain. Or did they prove they will brave whatever Mother Nature has to offer if a brother needs help? Pouring rain failed to keep folks off their bikes as they rode in this poker run to aid cancer survivor Larry McGonigle. The rain also failed to thwart Smokin’ T from providing delicious barbecue to all present. Diana, the owner of South 40, did a fantastic job hosting this party. Our Oklahoma Biker Babes washed two bikes in the rain, but didn’t have to rinse them. The event raised approximately $800 for Oklahoma biker Larry McGonigle. Congratulations Larry for kicking cancer’s ass! OKLAHOMA BIKER RAG 22 BLUES DAY AT MARKER DOWN On June 17th Marker Down hosted Blues Day in conjunction with Hay Day in the town of Inola. Things didn’t go as planned — do they ever when we rely upon bureaucratic bullshit to make things happen? The city failed to provide revenue-generating items as promised; nonetheless, the party didn’t falter. Deana and her exceptional staff served ice-cold beer and burgers whilst Ricky Lyles and Wanda Watson, with their respective bands, belted out the blues. Knowing they were not going to be paid as agreed upon didn’t preclude these bands from playing their hearts out for the crowd. While enjoying the ride home in a lightdrizzling rain I reflected on the day. The folks I had shared it with transformed a situation that could have proved disastrous into a marvelous day. Arriving home soaked, I tried to explain to Casey, my daughter, what a remarkable ride the day had been. She looked at me skeptically and asked, “Are you serious?” At that moment the old saying “If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand” never rang truer. This isn’t a lifestyle. It is a way of life. I thank you all for permitting me to share it with you. 23 OKLAHOMA BIKER RAG UPCOMING EVENTS IN in OL A MARKER DOWN AUGUST 11th BIKER OLYMPICS including Lakes Area ABATE, Guard Dogs, Red Knights, Blue Knights and Leathernecks. Randy and Jim have sold Two Dogs Custom Cycles to Travis King and James Ott. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Two Dogs it is located on Hwy 75 in Dewey just north of Bartlesville. When I saw the transformation this shop has made I thought I had stepped into the Twilight Zone. Two Dogs now has it all—including a full time painter and mechanic. The bikes they build have plenty of bling, plus they carry motorcycle parts, accessories, leather and clothing. I now feel confident in recommending this shop to our readers. Big Daddy: We have been together for almost ten years. Janitor: What do you attribute your longevity as a band to? Big Daddy: We play with our hearts instead of our heads. We love playing for people. Janitor: Who are the Blueskickers? Big Daddy: I’m Big Daddy. I play guitar and lead vocals. Razor D plays bass and vocals. Jack Wolfe is on the piano and organ. Last but not least is John Hoff who plays the drums and does background vocals. These guys are very talented and supportive as a band. Without these guys there probably wouldn’t be a Big Daddy. Janitor: I‘ve enjoyed your music for several years at many of the local biker venues. Are you playing any place regularly right now? Big Daddy: Yes, we are playing at Kenosha Station in Broken Arrow on Wednesday evenings their bike night. It is Open Mike Night. Music begins around 8. Janitor: (Laughing) Sounds like you are on biker time. Is there anything you wish to add before we conclude this interview? Big Daddy: Yes. I want to thank all the managers and club owners who have kept us working for 10 years! I also want everyone to know we appreciate you coming out to hear us play. Without all of you guys we would not be able to do what we love, and that is to play our music. Janitor: I look forward to coming out and hearing you guys at Kenosha Station in Broken Arrow on Wednesday evening. I also want to thank you for being so supportive of our biker community. We are grateful to you for you granting us this interview. It was after midnight. While enroute to his home, he asked the cabby if he would be a witness. The man suspected his wife was having an affair and he intended to catch her in the act. For $100, the cabby agreed. Quietly arriving at the house, the husband and cabby tiptoed into the bedroom. The husband switched on the lights, yanked the blanket back and there was his wife in bed with another man. The husband put a gun to the naked man’s head. The wife shouted, “Don’t do it! This man has been very generous! I lied when I told you I inherited money. He paid for the Corvette I bought for you. He paid for our new cabin cruiser and for our house at the lake. He paid for our country club membership, and he even pays the monthly dues!” Shaking his head from side-to-side the husband slowly lowered the gun. He looked over at the cab driver and said, “What the hell would you do?” The cabby said, “I’d cover his ass up with that blanket quick before he catches a cold.” www.zachsmithlaw.com
