September 15 & 16 Offering from 359 envelopes Offering loose checks Offering loose cash Previous week’s on-line giving Weekly Total Priest’s Retirement Debt Reduction Peru Ministry $13,541.50 $3,836.33 $752.50 $4,878.50 $23,008.83 $3,877.00 $146.00 $5.00 Christian Stewardship trains us to become aware that God is the ultimate giver of the gifts we have. To give to God should be “from the top” –not what may be left over. Is A W a y Of L i f e “What return can I make to the Lord for all the Lord has given to me?” Psalm 116:12 “Everything we have is a gift from God” YOUTH STEWARDSHIP CORNER We must always remember that in the sight of God, the gift, is not as important as the giver. The spirit in which we give is what counts. We give out of hearts full of love and gratitude; we give generously; we give prayerfully. Thus our gifts and our lives are acceptable unto the Lord $7.50 Youth Stewardship Envelopes are available in the parish office and at the school. It is not as isolated individuals that we can build up the body of Christ. It’s only when we begin to acknowledge and recognize in thanksgiving that our most generous God has given gifts to all. These gifts are to be developed and shared so that we can help build God’s reign. This is the mission of the Church, the mission of Jesus. Much like the need we have to make connections out of love for each other, people in ministry need to connect with each other. In a church organization, some may inadvertently go about ministry in isolation, forgetting that sharing in the ministry of Jesus only makes sense when it is done within the context of interdependence, connectedness, and community.
