Anihan Technical School
A project of the Foundation for Professional
Training, Inc. (FPTI). It is a technical-vocational
school known for its competence in developing
employment and entrepreneurial capabilities of
young women from CALABARZON in the field of Food
Service. “CALABARZON” represents 5 provinces in South Luzon: CAvite,
LAguna, BAtangas, Rizal, QueZON.
Anihan was established in 1986 in response to a
growing lack of training and education opportunities
for poor young women.
The maximum capacity of the school is 120
students. All students are full-tuition scholars.
Anihan is located in Barangay Tulo, Calamba City,
Laguna, Philippines.

ANIHAN shall be a leading
technical-vocational school for
women in CALABARZON.
MISSION
ANIHAN shall contribute to nation-building by
developing the capabilities of women,
especially the less-privileged, through
education imbued with Christian values and
skills training in Food Service and homerelated courses.

I graduated from Kapayapaan National High School
in Canlubang, Calamba. I applied in Anihan because a
friend of mine who also studied here encouraged me
because she learned a lot like skills, techniques, virtues,
formation.
After graduation, we will already be working in The
Palms (Country Club) because the executive chef likes
our performance. Over all, Anihan has helped me most
in values formation. I even have been able to share it
with my family.

My name is Kristia Basila and I
graduated from Alabat National High
School in the Quezon Province. I’m the
youngest of ten siblings. My father was a
carpenter and he passed away seven years
ago. I was in second year high school at
that time so I asked myself, “Will I able to
continue my studies?”
Now I’m very thankful because I have
the privilege to be one of the students
here.
It is so easy for me to say that Anihan
helps me a lot! It helps me to develop skills

My name is Aubrey Azupardo. I belong to a
simple family from Alaminos, which is about an
hour away from here (Calamba). My father works
as a driver and my mother as a factory worker.
My father’s earnings are not enough to support
me in school so I really feel blessed that since
high school I have found sponsors for my tuition.
And now I am even an Anihan scholar.
There is one thing I want to say, I’m always
saying and I will keep on saying: “Thank you!”
Thank you to Anihan and to the people who help
us. I feel we students have a very big
responsibility to study hard.
We are not only learning skills here in
Anihan. We also have modules on
professionalism in our field where we have
learned manners in dealing not just with
customers but with any person we deal with:
