Queen of Heaven Catholic
Radio, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in
Birmingham, AL, and committed
to the teachings of Jesus Christ
and the Catholic Church.
The current Board of Directors for
Queen of Heaven is made up
entirely of laity and clergy from
the Birmingham area. The Board’s
vision is to provide Catholic radio
to first the Birmingham area, and
then throughout the Diocese of
Birmingham.
We’ve taken the first step towards
realizing our vision by providing
Catholic radio to the Birmingham
area with the purchase of WQOH,
1480 AM, in Irondale, a suburb of
Birmingham. Even though there
is engineering work that needs to
be done to upgrade the signal
strength for this station, this was
a huge first step towards our
long-term goal of blanketing the
Diocese with Catholic radio.
Once we are able to raise the
necessary funds to upgrade the
signal on the Irondale/Birmingham
station, we will turn our attention
to other areas in Alabama. We
currently have applications in with
the FCC for licenses in the Decatur
and Gadsden, Alabama areas.
We also will be looking to acquire
a station in Huntsville as soon as
possible, and other cities as well.
Catholic radio is all about
evangelization. Through Catholic
radio we build and strengthen the
Catholic community, bring fallenaway Catholics back to the Faith,
and draw non-Catholics closer to,
if not into, the Faith. We catechize
Catholics and dispel the many
misconceptions held by nonCatholics.
However, all of that is dependent
upon the prayer support and
financial support we receive from
the laity. Please keep Queen of

As a non-profit, we operate 100%
on donations. If you can support
