PRESIDENT’S COLUMN
Hello again,
As I sit and write this it’s 30 degrees outside.
Not bad for May 13th. Ha, springtime in
Michigan.
I would like to thank everyone that
participated in the Annual
Work Bee on May 5th. The
grounds are looking great.
That important event is
crucial to the club. It seems
like every year spring
cleanup is desperately
needed and so well done
by our members.
I started shooting in the Summer Sporting
Clays league last month, what a great time. The
course is never left the same for 2 weeks in a
row so the challenge changes each week. It tests
your skills as a shooter each time you shoot.
There is a great bunch of guys that shoot this
league, so if you have never done it maybe next
year you should try. There is a winter league
too.
I hope everyone gets to read this column in
early June. There are some important events
coming up. This month, another registered
Trap shoot, it’s on the 15th. Next month the
juniors SCTP-AIM state shoot is on the 20th and
the final registered Trap shoot of the year is on
August 17th. There is also the National Patrol
Rifle competition the first weekend in June, if
you read this before then help is needed contact
Eric Manning. The Muzzleloaders have their
Rendezvous the second weekend. Contact
Dave Mercieca or Clint Double. Both of those
events are long standing events and always well
attended. I hope everyone is enjoying the
summer so far and I hope to see you around the
club.

Multi-Lakes 2013/2014 Annual Dues
It’s that time of year again when thoughts turn to Spring, warm sunny weather and Multi-Lakes dues.
According to the By-Laws, as Membership Secretary I am required to let everyone know that annual
dues are due starting June 1 thru June 30 2013. If you wish to mail in your dues, this can be done
starting April 1, 2013. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your new
membership card. Don’t forget the dues. If you are currently, or will become a Senior class member,
please provide DOB for confirmation.
Now for the By-Law Late Statement Requirement:
Any member whose dues are delinquent on July 1st of the current year shall be suspended and any member whose dues
are delinquent on September 1st of the current year shall be expelled from this Association, subject to a review of the
Membership Committee and the Board…
(Note: This does not apply to active duty personnel to the armed forces.)
LATE FEE NOTIFICATION: By-Laws requirements, the current late fee of $25 will apply to all dues received after June
30, 2013.
Probationary Members: If you became a Probationary member in 2012, your 2013/2014 dues are
now due. For those Probationary members that joined at the October or December will have their
2013/2014 dues pro-rated. Any Probationary member needing assistance in fulfilling their first year’s
obligations, please contact me, Barry Anderson – Club Manager, any Officer or Board of Directors
and we will assist you in any manner possible meet you obligation.
NEW THIS YEAR – Bartenders will not be processing dues this year. The duties do not
include processing dues and this new process will keep them available to keep the bar
running. There will be envelopes available that you can put your dues and your old
membership card. The bartenders can make change if you pay in cash, but will not process
your membership. The envelopes will be collected each day and will be processed by the
Membership Secretary. Your new card will be available for pickup within 3 business days.
Dues will continue to be taken at General Member Meetings. There will also be posted hours
on the weekends prior to June 30th that someone will be on site to collect dues. Sorry for the
inconvenience, but this change will allow the bartenders to perform the duties that they are
paid for.
Thank you for your cooperation

Dues have been coming in at a steady pace.
I expect the pace to pick up as June nears and
members start to realize that June 30 is upon
them. Taking in dues is an essential part of keeping the
club running smoothly.
I want to reiterate that if anyone is having issues
getting required hours or if there are issues with paying
please contact me. We don’t want this to be a painful
process.
If you have utilized the new process of paying dues
please make sure that you ask for your 2013/2014
Membership card at the bar. The ones that I have
processed are placed in a box for member pickup.
As we move closer to June 30th I will have people
here at the club on designated days to process dues so
you can get your card immediately.
See you around the Club!
Don’t forget to sponsor at least one new member!

Well, the weather has finally turned and it
Is warming up. We had great weather for
the All Day Work Bee and had many tasks
accomplished. Soon the horticultural
committee will be planting the flowers around the
property. Thanks to all who donated cash for the
flowers, fertilizer, mulch, etc. With summer comes the
car cruises. This year we will be adding motorcycles to
the event, so bring your bikes out on Fridays.
We have a lot of outdoor events scheduled around
the club this summer. One comes to mind is the
Chamber of Commerce event Rocking Under the Stars,
featuring the band 50 Amp Fuse. Last year the club
was packed. This year the concert will be held on June
15. We are looking for help with this event, cooking,
parking, beer, sales, etc. if you are able to help with this
event, please contact Barry Anderson, Dave Fisher,
Charlie Stevens or Sam Mullins.
We will also be hosting the National Rifle Patrol
Competition again this year and we are looking for
volunteers to help with this. The dates for this are June
1st & 2nd. If you can help, contact Eric Manning.
See you around the club,
6 ~ Sam Mullins
~ Treasurer ~
Most of our buildings are in need of
some repairs this year. We need to get some
of these small repairs completed now so they
do not lead to major repairs in the future.
Any work we can do ourselves saves our club
money. We could really use some volunteers right now
otherwise we may need to pay someone to have the
repairs done.
Would you please consider donating your time in the
next couple months so we can get the buildings back to
the condition they need to be in. If everyone just
helped out a little we would again save the club money
and our club will continue to look good.
Respectfully,
~ Keith Zerwas

100 Rainbow Trout 9”-11” & 28 pounds of minnows
(about 35,000) were released into Reed Lake. Rich
Carlson bought a dozen 12”-14” Rainbow Trout out of
his own pocket for the club to release into the lake.
Not to be out done Ron Dubois reached into his
pocket & bought 203
Coho Salmon, two
dozen Grouper, about
a bazillion frogs, and
one Whale Shark just
for fun.
