CLOTHING - Cleaning
When you have a new jacket it’s amazing how the water just runs off the outside.
This happens because of a durable water repellent treatment (DWR) that’s applied at
manufacture to all jackets. But dirt, oil and normal household detergents will, over time,
mask the DWR, causing the outside of the jacket to absorb water (wetting out). ‘Wetting
out’ reduces breathability, comfort and performance and can make the jacket feel cold and
wet to the touch. Unlike normal detergents, Granger’s cleaners remove dirt, oils and stains
without harming the DWR, making your jacket work like new again. Or as we like to say,
‘Original performance restored’.

HOW TO CLEAN
using 30˚C Cleaner, Base Cleaner, Down Cleaner
1 Close zippers and velcro flaps
2 Shake bottle and pour correct amount into the
machine drawer or wash ball. See bottle for correct amounts
3 Wash on a warm wash and rinse cycle. Granger’s
cleaners are formulated to work from 30˚C helping
save energy and protecting the environment.
30˚C Base Cleaner
• Ideal for Woollen and Synthetic base layers
• Maximises garments wicking performance

30˚C Down Cleaner
• Will not strip natural oils from Down, unlike household detergents
• Restores loft, improving insulation

4 Tumble dry if care label allows.
CLOTHING - Waterproofing
Want to keep your old jacket performing like new? Over time, your jacket loses its
durable water repellent (DWR) treatment but Granger’s range of re-proofing products
can restore it to its original condition. Unlike other products, Granger’s re-proofing
range uses the same technology as major garment manufacturers to restore
comfort, breathability and performance. With Granger’s products, your garments
work like new – or as we like to say, ‘Original performance restored’.

4 30˚C proofer will give excellent results without
tumble drying or ironing. If care label allows tumble
dry on a medium setting to improve durability.

1 Ensure that the garment is clean, if the garment needs cleaning use Granger’s 30˚C cleaner. Before applying XT ensure that all zips and velcro flaps are closed.
2 Being water based XT is best applied to a damp garment. Shake the bottle and spray evenly
onto the garment from a distance of 10 to 15cm.
3 Dab any excess moisture with a clean cloth.

using Superpruf
1 Ensure that the garment is clean, if the garment needs cleaning use Granger’s 30˚C cleaner. Before applying Superpruf ensure that all zips and velcro flaps are closed.

2 Shake the can and spray evenly onto the garment from a distance of 10 to 15cm.
3 Dab any excess moisture with a clean cloth.
4 Allow to dry naturally, avoiding contact with moisture until completely dry.

1 Wipe over garment with a clean, damp cloth and

HOW TO CLEAN
using G-Max Footwear Cleaner
1 Brush any loose dirt from the footwear.
2 Shake the bottle and press against the footwear.
3 Scrub the footwear all over using the sponge.
4 Rinse the footwear with clean water and a soft brush. Then allow to dry naturally and treat with a suitable Granger’s proofer before use.

1a Sponge - Ensure that the footwear is clean
before application by using Granger’s footwear
cleaner. Shake the bottle and press the applicator
against the footwear spreading evenly in light
strokes.

Spray evenly over the footwear from a distance of
10 to 15cm.
2 Dab any excess with a clean cloth.

HOW TO PROOF
using G-Wax, Paste Wax, G-Max Leather Conditioner
1 Ensure that the boots are clean by using
Granger’s footwear cleaner. Then rub the product
sparingly into the surface using a circular motion.

2 Using a soft cloth push the product deep into any crevices to prevent the leather from cracking.

HOW TO USE
G-Max Odour Eliminator
1 Remove the insoles from the shoes.
2 Shake the bottle and spray the top and bottom of the insole surface.
3 Hold the footwear upside down and spray evenly into the footwear.

Fabsil replicates the original finish applied at manufacture. By using it you can restore
the waterproofing of tents and other equipment, allowing them to perform like new.

HOW TO USE
Fabsil Universal Cleaner
1 Brush or wipe off any lose dirt.
2 Dilute as per instructions on the bottle. Then wearing gloves, clean fabric with a cloth or soft brush and solution.

• Powerful deep cleaning - ideal preparation before re-proofing
3 Rinse thoroughly with water to avoid any residue. Then wipe over with a cloth.
4 Allow to dry naturally.

• Available in Fabsil Gold high strength version

1 Ensure that the fabric is clean using Granger’s Universal Cleaner. Shake Fabsil can well and pour into a suitable container.
2 Apply with a clean paintbrush using long even strokes.
3 Lightly rub in any droplets that form with a soft, clean cloth.
4 Allow to dry completely before exposure to rain or dew.

HOW TO USE

Ensure that the fabric is clean using Granger’s Universal Cleaner. Shake Fabsil aerosol well and spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15cm.
2 Lightly rub in any droplets that form with a soft, clean cloth.
3 Allow to dry completely before exposure to rain or dew.

1 Use the applicator to apply a thin coat to either side of the seam.
2 Allow to dry for 24 hours prior to use.
