Independence Day Celebration Big bang: Fireworks on the fourth of July at Stenger Sports Field Bring the whole family to Arvada to celebrate the Fourth of July! With facepainting, a kids park, craft booths, live music, food and a Mini Classic Car show, the Independence Day festivities are a treat that can’t be missed. Billed as the best little blues festival west of the Mississippi, the event has raised over $100,000 to build homes for families in need. Great music, arts, crafts, delicious food and a good cause make this block party a must-visit.
