Message from the Prez . . .
WOW! What a difference a month makes. The
temperatures were fantastic in September, and we
finally received some rain. Thank you to Art and
Darlene Warren for the Drive and Eat to Knackies in
Inman, Kansas. The “Bear-B-Cue” was very tasty, and
so were those beans and cheesy potatoes.
We had a good turn out for the 45th Anniversary party
and celebration. I was outside when I heard a screen
coming from inside the park building. Apparently, we
had two squirrels join the party. One wanted to
participate in the meal; the other wanted to get a better
view and jumped up on someone. Who was that
surprised screamer?? They didn't own a corvette, so
they were kicked out of the party. A special thanks to
all of the volunteers for the work they did on the 45th
Anniversary party. Barbara Brotton's decorations
looked great, and seeing everyone in those blue shirts
was pretty cool. I would also like to say thank you to
those that brought desserts. They were delicious!
Sunday morning started off with some light rain before
the onset of ACCC's annual Funkahana, but the
course dried out and we had lots of fun and laughs.
First place went to Glen “LEAD FOOT” Bailey in his
C5, second place to Kevin “BURNOUT” Mansfield in
his C4, and third went to Daryl “SLOWPOKE” Burbach
in his C4. Mike “NEWBE” Keyser in his C6 took 4th.
Everyone else was just too slow to mention. Those
co-pilots looked like they had fun, too!
October brings Eureka Springs, and I can't wait! Also,
have you picked out your Halloween costume for our
annual Halloween Party? See you at the next club
meeting, October 12th, at Don Hattan Chevrolet.

President Glen Bailey welcomed new members: Michael and
Kelly Keyser (Red 2008 3LT), Steve and Marsha Clark (2003
Red Coupe), Bruce and Donna Jones (2006 Blue Convertible),
Stephen and Tai Harris (2012 White G5), Rob and Nancy Fresh
(2003 White Coupe), James and Yolanda Fitzer (2003 Black
Z06), David and Tammy Perreault (2002 Black Z06), James and
Sharon Woomack (1086 Red Convertible), Dan and Paula Alf
(2010 Black ZR1) and Jacob Alfs (2002 Black Z06). He shared
some general information about the club and our activities.
The minutes from the last business meeting were approved as
printed.
Vice-president Barry Hoofer reported 104 members as of tonight.
Treasurer Art Warren reported a bank balance of $1547.67 and
$20 cash.
Officer at Large Mike McKee reported that he still has a few
t-shirts left that were ordered. Points report: 1. Dallas Keller, 2.
Glen Bailey, 3. Dale Brotton, 4. Mike McKee, 5. Gary Dykes, 6.
Doug Mehl, 7. Connie King, 8. R. Muhlenbuch, 9. Monte Rans,

NCCC Governor Bob Battaglear reported on upcoming events
including our 45th anniversary party on Sept. 17, Funkahana
Sept.18, Central Christian Twilight Show Sept. 24, and Eureka
Springs Oct. 6-8.
Newsletter editor Kent Michael reported that there is a link to Blacktop Nationals autocross times on our
website.

Old Business
• We collected $3090 at Blacktop Nationals and we will receive $1545. Travis took first place in our club times
followed by Kevin and Don. Overall the best time was 26.9 seconds in a 2003 Z06 driven by David Green.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS! The track layout was well received this year.
• Next year we are going to add additional food and snacks for our volunteers. Ford has already committed to
sponsorship next year with the date TBA.
New Business
• Monte reported that in order to have Chuck the tuner come back, he needs at least 10 cars.
• Kevin Mansfield, Marsha Battaglear, and Louise Michael have been appointed to the nominating committee
for e-board elections coming up in November. There are 3 openings. Anyone interested in serving should
contact one of these people.
• The Halloween Party will be held at James
Sutton's shop this year.
• Please remember to pay for anniversary
shirts tonight.
• Remember to get registrations made for the
anniversary party.
Drive and Eat will be Saturday September 10
hosted by Art and Darlene Warren. Note: the
October Drive and Eat will be October 15.
The 50/50 pot was won by Michael Keyser
($21.50) and the door prize was won by Mike
McKee.
Next meeting will be October 12 at Don Hattan
at 6:45.

Minutes from the September 14, 2011 ACCC E-Board Meeting
The meeting was held at Art Warren's home.
Present: Glen Bailey, Barbara Brotton, Barry Hoofer, Art Warren, Bob Battaglear, and Kent Michael.
Minutes from the last meeting were approved as printed.
Barry reported a membership of 103.
Art reported a bank balance of $2111.16 and $15 cash. The blacktop expenses totaled $188.74 so far.
Bob reported on upcoming events. Upcoming events of interest are sent to members.
Old Business
• We hope to have our picture and article for Blue Bars ready soon.
• Dale and Barbara will contact Best Western soon to set the date for our Show and Shine which will be
included in the area wide car show events calendar.
New Business
• The Halloween party will be October 29 at 7:00 at Sutton's. Glen will confirm with them and other details will
be forthcoming.
• We chose November 12 to be our bowling night in Newton.
• Prior to Eureka Springs we will send out times and locations for groups who want to travel together.
The next e-board will be October 19 at Barry Hoofer's.

ACCC 45th Anniversary Celebration
The 45th anniversary celebration went on without a hitch (unless you count the squirrels-4 legged kind!!!) We
had a great turnout at Minisa Park for Bar BQ, Show and Shine, and lots of good conversation with old and new
members. Our anniversary T-shirts were a huge success and we will be wearing them proudly at Eureka
Springs.
I want to say a special thanks to the great team who put it together. Although I was supposed to be
coordinating it, my surgery caused me to drop the ball. The team picked it up and made a touchdown......Yea
Team! What a great group of people we have in our club. The members of the Anniversary Committee were:
Glen & Kristi Bailey, Bob & Marsha Battaglear, Dale & Barbara Brotton, Dallas & Kerri Keller, Mike McKee &
Verna, Doug & Mary Mehl, and Kent & Louise Michael. I can't lie, we had a great time putting it together and
look forward to our 50th!

Membership Application
Regular Membership dues for ACCC are $50.00 per year for new members and $45.00 per year for renewals.
Membership dues include ACCC spouse membership and one National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) membership.
If you already have an NCCC membership elsewhere, Regular Membership dues for ACCC are $25.00 per year for new
members and $20.00 per year for renewals. Please specify the following:

Associate membership, designed for the non-Corvette owner, is $25.00 per year for new members and $20.00 per year
for renewals. Associate members are entitled to all the privileges of regular membership with the exception of voting and/or

ACCC requires all members to be at least 18 years of age and hold a current valid driver's license.
Dues for renewals are payable on September 1st and are considered delinquent after the November ACCC meeting.
Renewals received after the November meeting will be considered as new. Memberships received after September 1st will
be valid through the next calendar year.
