Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life –
without them even knowing it? Do you want to lend a
helping hand prepare or deliver a hot meal to the hungry
of Jefferson County?
Then, we have the volunteer job for you! Meals on
Wheels of Jefferson County (MOW-JC) is currently in
need of additional packers and drivers. Packers help
prepare the food bags, by filling them with meals,
drinks, and so on. Drivers are assigned delivery routes
and then take the food bags and deliver the hot meals to
the needy and homebound of Jefferson County, Monday
through Friday.
Both jobs take about 2 hours. You can work as often or
little as you like, taking a shift of a day or more.
If you are ready to help make a difference in someone’s
life, and maybe in your own in the process, please call
the MOW-JC office at 304-725-1601 between 8 a.m.
and 1 p.m. and talk to Patsy or Evelyn.
The Mission team that
went to Navajo will be
having a meeting/social
on Sunday, August 24th
at 3pm in Williams
Hall. If you’d like to
learn more about the
trip or are interested in
participating next year,
please join us!!!
