NEWSLETTER CHANGE
Beginning in 2016, the Summit Senior newsletter will only be
published ONCE A YEAR. To keep current on all the trips and Sipper
meetings you will need to check the bank’s website, the bank branches or the
Summit Senior Office. Trips will be advertised before the newsletter is
published so some of them might already be sold out when they appear in the
newsletter and some might not even appear in the newsletter. Again, if you
are interested in going on trips DO NOT WAIT until you get the
newsletter.
If you need help navigating the website, the Summit Senior Office would be
more than happy to help you.
All trips are closed out 30 days prior to the trip departure date so don’t miss an
opportunity to go because you did not sign up in time. Some trips sell out
within a week after they are published. Seniors sign up for these trips months
in advance since only a $20 deposit is required and is refundable up to 30
days prior to the trip departure date. Trip Flyers will be kept at all bank
branches even if the trips are sold out so seniors can be added to waiting lists.
PLEASE DO NOT send in a check on any trip before checking with the
Summit Senior Office on the status of the trip.

Waiting Lists will be started on all sold out trips. No deposit is required to be
on a waiting list and you are not obligated to go on the trip if you are called.
The length of the waiting list will vary with every trip and the number of seniors
called on the waiting list also varies depending on the number of
cancellations. As we all know “life happens” so put your name on the waiting
lists, because there is always a possibility you might be called.
Final Payments are due 30 days prior to the trip departure date. After final
payments are made no trip refunds can be issued unless a replacement is
found to take your place on the trip.
In 2016 ALL MEALS will still be included in the trip cost. The only extra
money you will need to bring along on overnight trips is for personal expenses
and restroom stops. For our lunches and dinners we “Eat Like a Local.”
If you are on the mailing list and prefer not to get the newsletter, just call
the Summit Senior Office at 251-4432 and we will remove your name.
