We are honored to be of service to you. The Advanced Yoga Studies Program (AYSP) offers teachers of yoga, in all traditions and styles, the opportunity to deepen their practice and their sharing of that practice throughout local communities. About Namasté Yoga & the AYSP Dates & Schedule for the AYSP at Namasté Yoga Namasté Yoga was the first studio in Michigan to be recognized by the Yoga Alliance for having a YA Registered Yoga School (RYS) at the 200 level. Since then, hundreds of students have attended YogaShala at Namasté Yoga and currently teach throughout the metro area. The AYSP will be offered over thirteen months: from September 2012 until midSeptember 2013. The AYSP is divided into three segments. Hours for Each Segment wFridays: 6-9pm – Review & Intro to weekend focus wSaturdays: 1:15-6:15pm – Lecture & practice wSundays: 12–4pm – Lecture & practice wPracticum: 1-4pm, Saturday (1/month) Work with peers in teaching, assisting/feedback Practicum requires 2-3 students per meeting. In-class teaching counts toward hours. The (AYSP) in Hatha Yoga is based on the Tantric Philosophy that embraces the innate goodness in every being. For Tantra, we embody and reflect the Divine Nature of all beings. Our lives, therefore, are a means to selffulfillment. With humility and gratitude, we offer a program that will explore more deeply the eight limbs of yoga by utilizing sacred texts, highly trained/skilled teachers and the powerful effect of working with colleagues in a group setting. The length of the program creates an opportunity to share knowledge and practice new teaching skills and then come together monthly to share experiences in a format that supports you and your teaching practice.
