It was love at first sight. As we became dance partners, our partnership turned into a partnership of life. We were married in a candlelight Christmas wedding exactly one year after we met, and have been dancing through love and life ever since. Santa Rosa (northern California) is the place we call home. We are blessed with a mild climate that allows us to spend a lot of time outdoors doing our favorite things like hiking, kayaking, gardening, and running trails in the many nearby state and county parks. We have a warm and inviting home with a big backyard and a kitchen garden. In addition to an extensive vegetable garden, we have a variety of fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, grape, pomegranate, mulberry, fig, cherry, apricot) and berries that Monique loves to snack on as she runs through the garden with her cousins and friends. What we don’t eat ourselves, we love to share with our friends and family. We also have hens that provide us with fresh eggs, Nigerian dwarf goats that give us an abundance of milk and chevre, and an over enthusiastic loving Australian shepherd dog, Tasman. Four generations of Hadleys waiting to welcome and embrace our next child Adoption is close to our hearts Open adoption is a beautiful way to create a family. Paul has a twin sister who is a birthmother. At Thanksgiving in 2006, our daughter Monique entered our lives through open adoption. “Thanksgiving” held a new meaning for us. We are forever grateful to her birthparents. We love to dance! We are very excited about expanding our family by welcoming another child. We are blessed with a large family spread over the west coast. Our family here in Santa Rosa as well as in southern California and Washington are ready! Monique Monique doting on our baby goat Monique brings so much joy, laughter and love into our lives with her curiosity for life, gentle nature and big heart. We love being parents and feel so blessed to have Monique in our lives. She has an endless supply of laughter and giggles and delights in surprising you with gifts of her latest artwork. She loves to take care of people and animals, excited to wrap up your latest boo boo in an abundance of bandages. Monique can’t wait to have a baby brother or sister to play with and look after.
