MD/Agency works with the most varied musical and artistic contents,
in a more extensive manner than most conventional agencies. It
goes further than simple management and booking of artists.
Monique Dardenne, the mastermind behind this project, has been working in the music
industry for over a decade. Monique has demonstrated her avid professionalism (??) by
bringing big mainstream names to Brazil such as Snoop Lion and Pitbull. Monique has also
associated MD/A with top Brazilian corporations such as Azul Linhas Aéreas. From this partnership, the Onda Azul Festival was formulated.
Monique started her career when becoming involved in the management of Brazilian
DJ/Producer Fabiano Zorzan, AKA, Propulse. One of the main live-acts of the Brazilian music
scene. Eventually, it did not take long for Monique to become a commercial and artistic manager of the Carambola Agency. At Carambola, the talented young Monique became responsible for the artistic side of Tribe Festival (Over 40 names and an average public of 20 thousand people). Still at Carambola, she had the opportunity to work in the production of one of
the last concerts of the world famous LCD Soundsystem band and also had the chance to
produce the shows of Turbo Geist. Turbogeist frontman James Jagger, is Mick Jagger’s son.

MD/A PARTY:
Our MD/A party’s main concept is to rescue what we call the conscious musical movement. This event had great a national repercussion. One of our event’s headliners was Underground Resistance- an American movement born in the 1980s in the town of Detroit. The line-up was meticulously chosen and a number of Brazilian
electronic scene big names such as Dj Marky, Mau Mau were amongst talented producers such as Wehbba and DJ Anna. New comers such as the Archteks and
Edu Tavares were also present.

Management
The basic function of a manager is to orientate and manage the artist’s career. Managers deal with the day-to-day situations, they provide counseling, strategically plan
their next steps and they participate in decisions which might have great impact in the artist’s career. These functions are sometimes expected from the booking agencies.
Although they agencies and managers perform different roles, put together, they are essential for the direction in which the artist’s career will take.

Square Two Launching (March, 2013):
Producer Wehbba presented a track-to-track of his upcoming album to the press. There, he explained techniques used and his inspirations which led to the
reation of his album. There was a cocktail party later that evening.

Photographic exposition “Harabia Heritage”

Production of a photographic exposition of Brazilian artist called Lídia, who currently
resides in Saudi Arabia. The project has the main objective of making a cultural
exchange between the two countries, since Saudi Arabia does not receive turists.
Special projects
Curatorship of the “warm up in the metro”
Selection of a DJ from the public in order to make them play in the event’s opening
day. Over 700 DJs were willing to be candidates.
