This is our girls’ only skill for girls to understand what it means to grow into women of God. Gymnastics - Floor, beam, and vault. You will be able to learn all of these elements each day of Gymnastics. Our staff and volunteers will be there if you fall and to help you prepare for your show at the Olympics. Lacrosse - We want to introduce campers to the emerging sport of Lacrosse in a fun and safe environment. We will be starting with the basics. Leaders in Training - For Alpine [5th-6th grade] campers only. This skill will help older camper understand how to be a leader. They will be given challenges to solve, spend time with the camp leadership, and really dig deep into their leadership opportunity right around them. Musical Theatre - From Broadway to your community-- we want campers that like to act, sing, or put on productions. During the week campers will be gearing up for their big performance on Friday! Newsroom - What is happening at WinShape Camps for Communities? This skill will combine photo, video, and writing to get the word out about WinShape Camps all over the community. Painting - Spend the week creating art on canvases of all kinds and with all kinds of paint. Each day you will create a new piece of artwork to display at in the Art Gallery. (Don’t worry, all the paint is washable.) Secret Ops - We want to teach kids how to serve and not get all the credit. So we go undercover on missions to serve everyone we can at camp. Campers will learn how to apply these principles when they get home. Sew Much Fun - Learn the essentials of needle work, stitching, and sewing. Sew Much Fun gives you the opportunity to learn cool technique and sew things together. Soccer - The most popular sport in the world has come to WinShape Camps. Under Construction - Put your hard hats on and get ready to build as we take a week long journey exploring our “construction site.” Campers will build with anything from Legos to K’Nex to even there very own rockets. This skill is for campers that love to be engaged in building and are master creators. Wacky Science - Campers will learn basics of science while getting their hands in the middle of it. You never know when something will ooze or explode! Yard Games - Classics like wiffleball, kickball, and croquet-- mixed with new favorites like bocce ball and disc golf are parts of Yard Games. Campers will get to experience all kinds of classic and new games they can enjoy with friends-- then teach their friends in their neighborhood. Other things of note: Kick Off Week Promotion - The First 150 campers to register during Kick-Off Week will receive $50 Off each Camper. This is why we are able to offer the discount with the early bird. Hopefully we will be able to get signed up as one of the first 150 to get that discount for each kid. Chick-fil-a Friday Family Fun Day is designed for parents to tag along with their camper for the morning. They will get to go to the different stations and see what their child has been doing and learning all week. Lunch is provided for free on Friday, you only need to RSVP. Alpine! Ocean! Safari! - Students are divided up by age when they get to camp. 1st and 2nd are Ocean (Blue) 3rd and 4th are Alpine (Green) 5 and 6th are Safari (Orange) They will be encouraged to come dressed in their teams colors each day. It’s not required, but encouraged. These colored shirts with the connected logo will be one of the things on sale in the camp store. Camp Store - Like all camps, there is a camp that will be open at the beginning and end of each day. They have tshirts, head bands, sunglasses, water bottles and pretty much anything else you can think of that a store like this would have. Your child might try to talk you into sending money so they can purchase some of these items. If so, I’ll be more than willing to help with the transaction. I can’t locate prices anywhere online, so we’ll have to see what they are the week of camp. Medical Forms - You will need to fill out medical forms so we can turn those in on the first day of camp. Make sure to turn those in so we can turn them in the first day of camp. Student Volunteers - several of our students in the youth group serve as volunteers during Camp Winshape. They’ll arrive early and stay late each day helping to make camp happen. The plus side for us is that your kids will see familiar faces throughout the day to encourage them as they participate. On Campus - I (Brody) will be on and around campus throughout the week in case anything arises with your child. I will be able to get in touch with you if you are indeed needed. 706.224.9770 is my number if you need to reach me.
