Sail in Dirk Hartog’s steps
The STS Leeuwin II, Western Australia’s very own tall ship,
will join in the celebrations of the Dirk Hartog’s 400th
commemoration at Shark Bay.
We invite sailing enthusiasts of all ages to travel in Dirk
Hartog’s steps on board the STS Leeuwin II, a 3-masted
barquentine with over 810 square metres of sail and an
overall length of 55 metres.
A once in a life time opportunity
The STS Leeuwin II is a working ship and voyage
participants will be expected to be involved in all
aspects of ship operations from sailing, steering and
navigating to cleaning the ship and climbing the mast.
Cost?
The voyage cost is $3,600. The Dirk
Hartog Commemorative package price
includes the 11-day program of voyage,
on board meals, resident historian,
transfers, shared accommodation &
return bus to Fremantle.
