A non-profit children’s museum and play space.

For a limited time only Make that summer party super special! Each of your guests will get to make a tie dye t‐shirt to take home and you get to leave the mess here! Includes full use of The Playhouse for 90 minutes, help from a Playhouse assistant, shirts and dye for up to 10 guests, and a free t‐shirt for the birthday child. $115 for members, $125 for nonmembers, additional shirts $6 each for members, $8 each for nonmembers. Art/Sensory Activities
A rich variety of art and sensory activities are available at The Play‐
house all day, every day we are open. Here are some of the weekly highlights. parents and kids to express their creativity together through various art activities, from finger painting to making a paper‐
mache tree. This creative expression is an important part of your child’s growth and you can share in the fun as well! Free Musikgarten Class
10:30‐11:00 Thursdays, June 18th Come out for this free introduction to Musikgarten for all ages taught by Alison Moser taught every third Thursday. Introduce your child to musical concepts through singing, dancing, instrument playing, listening games, and musical patterns. Class size limited to 15 kids, registration recommended. 0011. Playhouse Family Music Festival!
5:30‐11:00 pm Friday, August 7th and 11 am‐6 pm, Saturday, Au‐
gust 8th at the Historic Cove Creek School in Sugar Grove, North Carolina, just 7 miles west of Boone. This year’s festival will kick off this year with a contra dance on Friday evening featuring the music of Dot‐Dot‐Dash, the Forget
‐Me‐Nots, Lost Ridge, and Lisa Baldwin and Dave Haney. Hailing from Charleston, South Carolina, the nationally touring Sol Driven Train brings a quirky combination of strings, horns and inventive lyrics to the stage. Featuring Chuck Folds (younger brother of Ben Folds), Steve Willard and drummer Eddie Walker, Big Bang Boom is a pop/
rock music group from Greensboro. Praised by Doc Watson for their wonderful mix of blues, jazz and the “good old ragtime sound,” The Lazybirds are a popular country blues and jazz quintet based in the High Country. In addition to music, festival‐goers will enjoy airwalks, art activities, water play, and kids’ craft market, plus food and high quality crafts vendors. Presented by ExploreBooneArea.com, the Playhouse Music Festival is sponsored in part by the pediatric dentistry and orthodontic practice of Drs. Mayhew, Scheffler, Hardaway, and Conn.
