Mission
Our mission is to provide children from birth to age eight with an enriching, educational
play environment while at the same time offering their parents and caregivers friendly
support in the important job of raising children.
We serve as an informal “town square” for the High Country: a place where natives
and newcomers, out-of-towners and locals, experienced parents and eager firsttimers, and people of all classes are brought together to share the joy of playful
learning with their children. Stimulating arts– and science-based programs, enticing
play areas and exhibits, and informative parenting resources all support this mission.
Client Profile
The Children’s Playhouse of Boone is a non-profit organization. They are not a day
care but a children’s museum. The playhouse promotes interaction with not only
children but with their parents as well.
Scope of Service
Our scope of service is to design the upstairs infant room as well as the loft recreation
room. The infant room will be revamped to aid different areas of development. The
loft area will be converted from a play kitchen to a children’s veterinary clinic and
exam area.
