Following the family tradition, Virginie and Antoine Roux created Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger in 1998. And since, they have remained faithful to the regional flowers which have moulded the landscapes of Provence, as well as their destiny : Rose, Jasmin, Lavender, Fig, Lemon, Violet… and of course, the reigning fragrance – the Bitter Orange Blossom. She also had a workshop on Rue de Paradis in Paris, where during the 1940s to 60s, she created cosmetics for luxury brands. One of the founders – Beatrice – used to visit the workshop when she was a child, fascinated by this wonderland of beauty products and magical elixirs. The Château de Versailles perfumes evoke olfactory tastes of King Louis XIV and his court: warm and sensual scents that Louis XIV enjoyed in his youth. Neroli, violet, patchouli, amber, rose, musk, jasmine recall the lavish parties «Les Plaisirs de l’Ile Enchantée» given in 1664 in honor of his young 20-year old mistress, Louise de La Vallière.
