NANI Participation Audits
In order to ensure the integrity of the NANI Network’s advertising
program, the NANI team audits the participating publications on
a quarterly basis. Dates for the audit are selected at random and
publishers are required to document the successful running of the NANI
ads for that date with tearsheets and substantiate their circulation via
independent circulation audit or postal documentation.
NANI maintains very strict audit standards. All of these requirements
must be met and if even one ad is not published, the member does not
receive their rebate for any of the ads published during the entire threemonth audit period. That may seem like a hefty penalty but it assures
that our members are running every ad, every week.

areas and the NANI Network adds and
removes publications as our members and
participants shift. This listing was correct at the
date specified but undoubtedly has changed
since that date.
FAQs
How do I place a NANI Ad Order?
The seller will provide you with a NANI insertion order form for each ad
placed, and the advertiser must sign the order. Changes to existing ads
are required to be made in writing.
All ads and advertisers must be pre-approved by the NANI office before
they will be accepted. A background check will be performed on the
advertiser prior to running as part of our network quality safeguard.
How do I pay for my NANI Ad?
All NANI Ads must be pre-paid. Payment is due by the Tuesday prior to the
weekly ad list release. Please contact your NANI seller to discuss a
payment method.
When is the deadline for NANI ads?
The deadline for ads is Monday. The “Preliminary Ad List” is prepared on
Tuesday and sent to the sellers for final approval. If there are any changes
that need to be made, the office must be notified by 10:00 AM EST on
Wednesday. The final ad list is prepared and sent to all NANI participants
on Wednesday by 12:00 PM EST.
How long will it take to appear in all of the
participating papers?
Ads are distributed weekly to the NANI participating members each
Wednesday. Each paper is required to run the ad once for each week it
appears in the NANI list. Because of variation in publishing cycles among
each paper, we allow up to three weeks for publishers to run the ad. It may
start as early as the first week following the placement, however it may
take several weeks to have appeared in all of the publications.
How many words are included in a NANI ad?
NANI ads are 20 words. Additional words may be purchased if desired.
Can I change NANI sellers if I would like?
Once an ad has been placed with a NANI seller, that seller has the
exclusive right to the advertiser for a six-month period.
Will NANI provide tearsheets for my ad?
We do not, nor can we provide tearsheets as part of the NANI Network. The
impact that would have on costs and pricing would be far too prohibitive.
Can I buy only a portion of the network?
What heading or classification will my ad run under?
Will my ad run in every paper?
Will my ad run online?
NANI does not offer any regional or divided buys. When you buy a NANI
ad, you are buying the entire national network. If there is a restriction
in a specific state, we will request, “do not run in ___” but offer no
assurances this will take place.
Publications participating in NANI have the right to refuse running an ad
if it falls outside of their paper’s publishing policies. See acceptability
guidelines for further details at afcp.org.
Headings or classifications may be suggested by the advertiser/seller
but are not guaranteed to run that way. Each paper will place the ad in
the most appropriately fitting heading offered in their publication. Some
publications do not use headings.
Although publishing the NANI ads online is not required, numerous
members place the classified ads on the web in addition to their print
product, however there is no additional charge to the advertiser for this
added circulation.

If for any reason, National Advertising Network, Inc. (NANI) is unable to publish your advertisement in the full NANI network, NANI and the selling publication will be pleased to refund the pro-rata share
of the purchase price of your advertisement. If such an event occurs, the liability of the National Advertising Network, Inc. and its member publications is limited to the price you paid for the ad and any
refund requests must be received within 60 days of the printing of your advertisement. Circulation can vary for any ad that does not run full-run due to advertiser choice or state statute limitations,
advertisements for adoption, government grants, work at home, pharmaceuticals, dating and all ads that do not include the full business name of the advertiser. Further, the advertiser acknowledges
that once they purchase a NANI ad from a NANI member, they cannot purchase NANI advertising from any other NANI selling agent until the advertiser has been out of the NANI network for a
period of six months. Exceptions to this policy must be requested in writing and approved by the NANI Board of Directors. Further, the advertiser acknowledges and agrees that any dispute arising from
purchasing advertising in the NANI program will be governed by New York law and that a competent court located in New York shall be the only proper venue for resolution of such disputes. Rev 6/1/15
