shares the strategies applied

faculty
participation and improve by

performance inside the
classroom.

 The invitation to participate in the courses is made by faculty
development and academic authorities.
 The calendar of courses and promotional posters are published
in electronic newsletters that are sent to faculty and posted in
theachers lounge
REGISTRATION
AND
PROMOTION
 LNPS courses are announced in new faculty orientation
sessions
 The use of institutional email by faculty is enforced.
 International certification is promoted as an added value of
belonging to LIU.

 Guidelines for autoregistration have been developed and are
sent to faculty via email.
 Assistance and support (face-to-face/phone/email) for information
and course registration: schedules, activities, certification,
duration and use of course interface.
Enrollment
 Preparation and submission of internal calendar to regional
coordinators for weekly follow-up.
 Daily monitoring of the SIS Faculty system to verify enrollment
request.
 Send email to remind participants of the start of the course and
ascertain receipt of credentials.
TIP: It is ideal to reserve time at the end of the course to
provide support to the Faculty (face-to-face or on-line).
 Personalized follow-up via email or face to face to
faculty facing log-in difficulties as well as course
continuity problems.
 Course status reports are sent to each campus
representative.

 Some participants require particular procedures such as
«un-enrollment» or confirmation of their status in
previous courses, this cases are managed on a one to
one basis.
 At the end of the course, students queries with regards
to their final status are answered.
TIP: Foresee additional time at the beginning of the
course to attend the needs of participants.
 The Universidad Privada del Norte in Perú has
implemented a classroom follow-up for the mix of LNPS
online courses and their own face-to-face courses.

 They assess the implementation of the tool studied to
verify compliance and to give feedback on different
aspects:
 The class as a whole
 The way the methodology or tool is being
implemented
 Other training opportunities
 To define commitments for improvement or
experience exchange among faculty members.
 Announcement on the LIU Bulletin and Nexus, an email
with the list of the courses taken by faculty is sent to
academic authorities in order for them to update their
statistics.
Certification
 Photographs are displayed on the university panels.
 Articles and pictures are posted on the university
website.
Assessment
 Participation in LNPS courses has been integrated into
the faculty assessment process, improvement and/or
contract rennovation.
