CHOOSING YOUR COLOR SYNC SHADE
POST COLOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Determine the existing level of the hair using your Color Sync Level Finder. Check the
level at the scalp and along the mid-lengths and ends.
2. Choose a Color Sync level based on desired result. Refer to the Formulating & Timing
Guide to the left.
3. Determine the Color Sync tone you want.

Wear suitable, disposable gloves. Mix equal parts Color Sync shade with Color Sync
Activator 9 Volume. Mix equal parts Color Sync Extra Coverage with Color Sync
Activator 20 Volume.
Example: 2 oz. Color Sync shade + 2 oz. Color Sync Activator

APPLICATION
Bottle or bowl-and-brush application.
Color Sync Virgin Application:
Apply Color Sync formula to the scalp area. Immediately work formula through
the mid-lengths and ends.
STRAND TESTING
Strand testing allows you to preview your results before applying color to your
client’s entire head. When taking a strand test, mix 1/8 oz. of the exact Color
Sync shade (or mixture of shades) that will be used with 1/8 oz. of Color Sync
Activator. Apply the color mixture from the scalp to the ends on a strand large
enough to view color results. Process for 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly and dry.
SAFETY
IMPORTANT: This product can cause an allergic reaction, which in certain
rare cases can be severe. To help minimize the risk of an allergic reaction, you
must follow these precautions:
• Wear suitable disposable gloves during the preparation, application and
rinsing of the product.
• Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before each use of this product.
• For instructions, refer to the packaging directions.
Color Sync Retouching:
Apply Color Sync formula to the scalp area. Process for half the total time,
then work formula through the mid-lengths and ends. Continue processing
for remaining time.
