2010-2011
Have a safe and Merry
Christmas Break
Congratulations to all of the students that worked so
hard on their Christmas Sing-Along programs. We
would like to thank all of the teachers that worked with
the students to make this program special. Thank you
Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Harris for all of your work on
this years program. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow
could keep us from featuring all of the talented boys
and girls from Deer Park. If you were not able to attend
the program please watch for the highlights which will
be aired on Channel 74 through Time Warner Cable
after December 27, 2010.

Deer Park Family Trivia
E
ach week there will be a trivia section to our school newsletter for Deer Park families. Read and answer the
questions. Students or parents (for the younger students) write your responses on the slip below and cut out. Place
your answers in Mrs. Nalley’s room. There is a trivia box right by the door. Please return all entries to school by
Wednesday of each week. Friday morning during our school morning show, a winning slip with all correct responses will be
drawn for a special treat. The questions will vary in complexity and subject area so all grade levels will feel challenged.
Question 1: Which one of the Great Lakes shares its name with a U.S. state?
Question 2: Is Central America a part of North America or South America?
Question 3: What is the largest country in South America?
Question 4: According to the 16th century rhyme, what do April showers bring?
Question 5: Which is greater 4/5 or .75?
