As our King Lion is on walkabout I was asked to fill in with the October newsletter. We currently are in the mist of our store project and should be on track to make $2,000 from the project. As a club we want to thank PDGs Scott and John for managing, and everyone who has
volunteered their time and energy to this project.
Six club members and spouses attended the US Canada Forum in September. It was a great
experience with many worthwhile topics to choose from. Please consider going to the forum.
What you learn there may change your life.
The Meadville club had a nice turnout for the zone meeting last Wednesday. During the meeting the Braille Project Committee (PGD Dutch and Lion Karen Faivre) submitted a report and
pleasant surprise to all clubs in the zone. The project was able to return $1,000 to each of the
clubs who participated in the project. Thanks Guys.
Our next club project coming up is our annual Christmas Nut and Candy sales. Lions Larry
and Dave have catalogues for anyone interested. Don’t forget the Jaycees Halloween parade is
coming up later this month. Let’s all go marching.
Please keep in your prayers Lion Arden Hibbard whose wife recently has passed away and
the family of Lion Don Leberman who has also recently passed away.
I would like to warmly welcome our newest members to the club: Brian Jensen, Travis Webster sponsored by PDG Scott and Betsy Heintz sponsored by Lion Dave.
Yours in Lionism
