Seeing your child, just months later, receive her first sound at a whisper-­‐level, will make that same man cry like a baby. Six years ago, when our daughter regained sound from cochlear implants, she also was given a chance at life. Many think life is a simple concept, but it’s not. TRUE LIFE means the ability to conquer the dreams we have, to learn as much as our brains can take in, to have the ability to play every sport with our friends, to HEAR the cry of your first child or sob to music aNer the death of your mom or dad. ANer God gave our li.le girl, Lexi, her life back, we knew we were called. I was working in Development/Fundraising at Vanderbilt, & there were mulTple errors in her care from birth to 14 months of age when we were pracTcally screaming “she cannot hear!”, only to be told “some children don’t talk unTl later in life.” It’s unacceptable and we couldn’t sit by and allow this to happen to other children. Looking back now, we’ve been able to leverage Kevin’s many contacts in the music industry…he is the brother of country music icon, Gary LeVox, front man for Rascal Fla.s. We’ve found our passion drawing a.enTon to a serious issue: UNTREATED HEARING LOSS. We serve VETERANS, CHILDREN, adults of all ages, internaTonal children and families. RESTORING SOUND ACROSS THE U.S.A. & beyond! Simply put, Songs for Sound uses the power of MUSIC to RESTORE SOUND across the globe to restore HOPE & LIVES.
