Cedar College ~ Registration for our Cedar College Fall sessions will began today and extend through Monday,
September 26th. Registration is free for persons who attended class in the spring or summer. However, there’s a
$10.00 registration fee for all others. Classes will begin the week of September 26th, and run until December
10th. For more information and to register for classes, please stop by the Community Room.
Health & Resource Day 2016 ~ The Health Ministry will sponsor the 3rd Annual Health & Resource Day from
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on next Saturday, September 17th, in the Fellowship Hall. This event is FREE and open
to the community. For more information, please see Deaconess Thelma Serry or Sister Sherideen Hayden.
Prime Timers Anniversary ~ All are invited to come out and help the Prime Timers celebrate their 13th
Anniversary on Monday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m.
All Married & Engaged Couples ~ The Couples Ministry invites you to participate in “Situational
Conversations” about various topics and issues that can impact relationships. The guest facilitator will be Rev.
John Knight of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Pittsburgh, PA. Plan now to attend on Saturday, September 24,

Gift for Life Block Walk ~ Join the WOW, Health and Social Activism Ministries as they bring awareness to
Breast Cancer by participating in the 15th Annual Gift for Life Block Walk on Saturday, October 1st, from 8:00
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is now underway. Please stop by the Community Room.
CSBC Votes Team ~ Persons in need of registering to vote are encouraged to stop by the Votes Campaign table
today in the Community Room. The deadline to register is October 17th.
Missionaries Brown Bag Collection ~ The missionaries are collecting brown paper bags with handles to give
back to Meals on Wheels to assist with daily delivering of food items to the elderly. So, instead of throwing your
bags away, drop them off today in the Community Room.
Travel with the Prime Timers ~ The Prime Timers are going to the Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro,
Maryland on December 3, 2016, to see the 2016 Christmas Celebration. Tickets are $125.00 for adults and
$100.00 for children. There are also a limited number of tickets for $75.00 that do not include transportation
or dinner. Please see Sister Diane Clark in the Community Room to sign-up or for more information.

Operation Renovation ~ It’s not too late to give! As you know, construction is underway to renovate our historic
sanctuary. We solicit individuals and families to give $1,000.00 donations to assist with our efforts. Gifts can be
made in your name or in memory of a loved one.
Save the Date ~ Our 150th Anniversary Gala will be held at the Downtown Richmond Marriott
Hotel on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. Stay tuned for more information.
