COMING UP...
Edney’s Super Art Exhibition
Be sure to check out the Art Exhibition in the Art Room
10am-2pm on Fete day, showcasing the outstanding work of
Edney students!
In the next few weeks, some
fabulous events have been planned
for the school in the lead up to the
Fete day!

treasure hunt. More details soon...
Don’t forget Room 15’s toy raffle tickets on sale before school out the
front of the Library $1 each, until
Wednesday 7th September to be
drawn Thursday 8th September at
the Assembly.
Entertainment & Stalls
On the day there will be free entertainment on the main stage with
performances by the school choir and guitar group, Em Gel, a local musician,
the Boodjar Bidi Indigenous Dance troupe, the Wairu Tipuna Maori Culture
Group and Kalamunda performers.
Edney’s Got Talent will also showcase acts from our talented Edney

Community groups attending are; The Safety House Association, Bunnings with
free planting activities for the kids, Brick4Kidz with Lego to play with,
Meerilinga, My Supports, Aussie Farmer Direct, Maida Vale Baptist Church,
The Lions Club selling cakes, Foothill’s Men’s Shed and Good Start Child Care
Centre.
There will be face painting on the day, along with the Swan Valley Cuddly
Animal farm, a fire truck, ambulance, police wagon, and the Emergency
Services Motorcycle Association coming along. The Scorchers van will also be
making an appearance on the day.
Stalls on the day are; Mosquita with fairies & dragons, Stitches with homemade
kids clothing & accessories, Reflections of art with crochet & succulents for
sale, Maggies Crafts with knitted & crochet items, as well as a massage stall,
quilt stall and craft stall with bookmarks & gift tags for sale.

Presales of all day ride bands will
start soon. These bands will mean
you can pay a one off fee then ride
as much as you want.
Rides include; Mini Ferris Wheel,
Bumper Cars, Laser Tag, Bouncy
Castles and Bucking Bulls.
”
What’s on the Menu?
Fast Edney’s will be serving
delicious
food
such
as
hamburgers, toasties, hot chips,
gravy and drinks. There will also
be a sausage sizzle and a coffee
van that is donating their services
for the day. Donuts will be
available, as will satay sticks,
curry puffs, chicken wings, fried
rice & noodles. Yum!
Class Stall News
More Volunteers are Needed for Class Stalls.
Please see your teacher or class coordinator, drop into the front office and leave a note in
the P&C box, or email the committee to donate an hour of your time to your child's class on
the day.
Thank you for the overwhelming responses to the requests for donations for the Fete! We have received
so many awesome prizes. Here is an updated list of what each class needs.

Our Fete Superheroes -Sponsorship Update

The Fete is close to 6 weeks away! In order to make it the best Fete possible and raise funds for the school ’s nature play
areas and other P&C projects, we need your help!
So please don’t forget to donate any items on the list you may have and please take the time to talk to your child’s classroom
teacher/stall coordinator and volunteer some of your time on the day.
If you know of or work for a business that would be willing to generously donate their wares or services, or even sponsor the
Fete, contact the Fete committee and we can organise a sponsorship/donation pack. Examples are prizes for the raffles and
silent auctions, meat packs, wine, massage vouchers, BBQ, bikes, vouchers for trips, fishing gear, sports packs. This will be
greatly appreciated and all sponsors will be recognised in advertising.
