Saturday, May 24 the club will raft up at Red Fish Point in Big Lagoon. If you’ve never been to this favorite anchorage, go east on the ICW from Pirate’s Cove, go under the bridge at the west end of Perdido Key, enter Big Lagoon and head east about 3 miles. Red Fish Point is on the south side of the Lagoon about ½ mile west of Sand Island/ Ft. McCrea. You’ll find 7 feet of depth within 100 yds. of the shore. A dingy makes it easy to get back and forth to the beach. Bring chairs, games, umbrellas, kites, kazoos, guitars and spoons, beverages and snacks for Saturday’s beach time. Sunday morning we gather on the beach for Bloody Marys and Mimosas and make plans for heading home. Last year we had about 8 boats participate. Let’s double that this year! Kathy Hawkins, Social Committee Chair Looking Ahead… Please check the Annual Planning Calendar for a new date for the Annual Poker Run – August 23, 2014 Please save the date!
