It is perfect mixed in a taco or Mexican dish or delicious stirred into ground beef for the best grilled hamburger you will ever eat. Mike and I worked very hard perfecting this recipe. Peach Salsa #2045 With Georgia being known as the Peach State, of course Lauri Jo’s Peach Salsa is an all-time favorite. Its sweet succulent flavors add zing to any fish and it is divine over pork as well. This salsa now tops our sales in salsa. Pickles Dilly Beans #2069 Our Dilly Beans are perfect as a garnishment for Bloody Mary’s or Food Network has chosen to use them on their House Salads. They are the perfect dill with a little zing to taste. Pickled Okra #2052 Black Bean Corn and Jalapeño Salsa Our Pickled Okra is one of our best selling condiments pleasing Lauri Jo’s Fans from ages 2-92. We seek our okra from local growers to find the fancy-grade; as small as possible to ensure tenderness yet a crispy crunch in every bite. They’re great on the grill, battered and fried, on a cocktail, or straight out of the jar. #2243 This salsa is so fresh it taste as if you are standing in a South Georgia field eating straight from the farm. It is best used as a garnishment for fajitas, enchiladas, or chimichangas. It is what started my business and is still to this day my favorite product. They are the real deal. It takes 4 days to make this old-fashioned lime pickle. I never went to my Mama Loyce’s house that Green Tomato Pickles weren’t sitting in her refrigerator. Chopped up, they make the best deviled eggs or chicken salad your will ever eat. Some people eat them on grilled hamburgers. Food Network serves them on Turkey Cheddar Melt Sandwiches. Pickled Asparagus #2403 From adding to your favorite cocktail to using as a garnishment on a dish, our pickled asparagus will dress up any recipe that you choose. Watermelon Rind Pickles #2359 The Watermelon Rind Pickles are a seasonal item, but oh are they a favorite. Try wrapping them in bacon and baking them in the oven or grilling them on the grill. Southern Sweet Cucumber Pickles #2199 My Jim Mama knew how to do pickles right. You don’t believe me, bite into one of these and you will say, “This taste just like my grandmother’s pickles.” These are good to chop and add to potato salad, tuna salad or serve them at your fish fry. Southern Dill Pickles #2144 Our Southern Dill Pickles have won several awards. They are not super dill! They have a garlic taste to them with a hidden sweetness to boot. This is a pickle that you can’t eat just one and you are constantly trying to figure out what makes it so darn good. Awesome on any sandwich! Southern Sweet & Spicy Cucumber Pickles #2229 My Jim Mama’s Sweet Pickles with a kick. They will dress up any recipe or are just good out of the jar. Drizzle over chicken while grilling or toss as a dressing on a kale or spinach salad. The Peach Pepper Jelly adds a delectable taste to any cheese or is mouth-watering used as a glaze over a pork loin. YUMMY!! #2151 Red Pepper Jelly #2083 Our original Red Pepper Jelly is the perfect blend of sweetness with a little heat! This recipe is perfect with cream cheese and crackers or delicious used as a glaze over chicken wings. Also mix with Lauri Jo’s Salsa, Mopping Sauce, and a jar of my Red Pepper Jelly along with a bag of frozen meatballs to have Lauri Jo’s Award Winning Meatballs. #2120 Pineapple Pepper Jelly Green Pepper Jelly #2106 #2090 Our original Green Pepper Jelly is the perfect blend of sweetness with a little heat! This is good mixed with cream cheese as a dip or as a spread on a sandwich. I even pour it in with my collards or mustard greens while they are cooking. 6 Strawberry Pepper Jelly LAURI JO’S 2016 CATALOG The Pineapple Pepper Jelly is my go to for cooking. I use this in my baked beans, shrimp stir-fry, and on my baked hams just to name a few. www.laurijos.com www.laurijos.com 77 Pepper Jellies Pepper Jellies Blueberry Pepper Jelly #2113 This is my son, Hal’s favorite. He loves it in my breakfast casserole with crescent rolls on the bottom of a sprayed cookie sheet, then mix a jar of my Blueberry Pepper Jelly in with a tub of whipped cream cheese and a pound of browned and drained ground sausage. Spread this mixture over the crescent rolls and top with another layer of crescent rolls and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. This is our Christmas Morning Breakfast!! Mayhaw Pepper Jelly Muscadine Pepper Jelly Blackberry Pepper Jelly A mayhaw is a berry that is a member of the apple family yet is tart in taste. So this pepper jelly is good on grilled pork chops or served with goat cheese and crackers because of its sweet and sour suggestion mixed with a savory burst of peppers. There’s nothing any sweeter than biting into a muscadine picked straight from the vine. The Muscadine Pepper Jelly tastes the very same just with a little kick added. Top this with your cheese of choice paired with your favorite wine makes any gray sky turn blue. I like to take the Blackberry Pepper Jelly and spread about half of the jar over a round of Gouda cheese. Wrap the cheese spread in crescent rolls and bake it. Let it cool completely before serving. #2182 FOR PROOF ONLY Southern Corn Whiskey Pepper Jelly #2342 We teamed with the makers of 13th Colony Corn Whiskey out of Americus, GA to bring you this special blend of their smooth yet complex tasting bourbon along with our sweet and fiery ingredients to produce one of our top selling products. This product is phenomenal as a glaze on ribs or grilled corn-on-the-cob. #2380 #2335 Southern Pecan Jalapeño Pepper Jelly #2540 Honey Bacon Horseradish Pepper Jelly This is our #1 selling pepper jelly and tastes as southern as its name sounds. This jelly is wonderful on grilled grouper, fabulous on baked sweet potatoes, and divine mixed with browned sausage, cream cheese, and the pepper jelly and spread into a halved jalapeño pepper then baked or grilled. #2281 How could anything with honey, bacon and horseradish not be good? This pepper jelly is amazingly good on everything from baked oysters to brisket to Brie. This pepper jelly is different in that it is very light in flavor with a citrus burst making really good to use on fish, scallops and even cornbread. Jams & Jellies Cranberry Orange Ginger Pepper Jelly #2304 Muscadine Jelly #2373 I use this pepper jelly mostly during the fall of the year. I love to make my homemade cranberry sauce using this pepper jelly and it’s heavenly as a spread on a turkey panini. Muscadines are sweet grapes grown throughout the South. The best grape jellies come from the Muscadine and Scuppernong grapes. Ours is a smooth sweet burst of the best grape flavor you will ever put in your mouth. FOR PROOF ONLY Summer Celebration Watermelon Pepper Jelly Old Fashioned Fig Preserves The Summertime Celebration Watermelon Pepper Jelly is the one I would recommend just eating on cream cheese. One bite of this takes my mind away down the dirt roads to the family fields where these melons are grown, loaded up, and then carried off to many family picnics, beach trips, and patriotic celebrations that are held throughout the summer. Our fig preserves are just like what you would have found on your grandma’s shelf. Our fig preserves contain as little water as possible so you get the thick, gooey fig goodness in every spoonful. We source our berries from Clinch County, GA which is Layne’s homegrown/hometown so she loves to promote and support her stomping grounds whenever possible. I must say they are some of the prettiest berries we have ever worked with and they make the sweetest blueberry jelly you will ever taste. Mayhaw Jelly Seedless Blackberry Jam Strawberry Jam Seedless Blackberry Jam is a favorite among our customers because it is seedless and because the blackberry has such a sweet and distinct flavor. Wonderful shared on a cheese board with honey comb and fruit! Our Strawberry Jam is packed with juicy sweet strawberries and of course it is wonderful on buttered toast. If you are feeling adventuresome, try a teaspoon full in a frozen margarita for a new twist on a strawberry margarita. #2212 #2175 #2366 The Mayhaw is a small red berry that looks similar to a crabapple. Mayhaws grow in the southeastern United States along coastal areas and swamps and are harvested during the month of May. The berry has a very tart flavor which is one of the reasons it makes the most unique tasting jelly that Lauri Jo’s produces. Try a peanut butter sandwich with this jelly and you’ll be sold! This is one of our best-selling jellies and we are working hard to be able to provide this jelly year round by planting our own Mayhaw trees. We have an orchard of around 25 trees and some OLD Mayhaw trees on some river property, so we are hoping to have an abundance of berries in the next few years. This is one of our true “farm to jar” products! Peach Jam #2328 Honey Pear Preserves You can’t get any more Southern or Georgia than peaches. And two Georgia peaches running a preserving company are sure to have THE best Peach Jam on the market. Nice sweet chunks of peaches make it a glorious glaze for those pork dishes if you don’t like the heat of our Peach Pepper Jelly. If my husband, Mike is around, I can do that because he is the biscuit maker at our house; but if he’s not I have to settle for toast with my preserves. www.laurijos.com 13 Specialties Shaker Sauce #2038 Specialties My husband Mike created this sauce from the excess green tomato pickle juice. He added fresh ground horseradish and fresh ground jalapeños to the juice to make a sauce that is quite tasty on anything from oysters to grits to good ole southern greens. Pear Relish Red Tomato Relish Green Tomato Relish Pear Relish was a commonly requested product so we finally gave in and made it. It has been a huge seller because everyone who tastes it says it tastes just like their grandmother used to make. The most common use is on vegetables, hamburgers, or hot dogs as garnishment. My, Oh My!! This relish is to die for!! It is scrumptious over rice as a side with any meal, dresses up a meatloaf like you’ve never tasted before, and I can’t even describe to you what it does to a grilled hot dog. This stuff is so good my daughter eats it straight out of the jar. The Green Tomato Relish is my version of chow-chow. Many of our customers love to eat this on peas and other fresh vegetables. I like to use it in my salads such as chicken, tuna, and egg. #2274 Old Fashioned Pepper Sauce #2168 Our pepper sauce is made with the hot Tabasco Peppers. This sauce is most commonly used on vegetables. #2267 #2250 Relle Mama's Smokey Sweet Mopping Sauce #2397 Candied Jalapeños This Mopping Sauce (aka BBQ Sauce) is one of the most savory sauces I’ve ever tasted! It’s a little sweet and a little Smokey…hence the name! This recipe was concocted by Layne’s mother when a BBQ smokehouse stopped making her favorite sauce. Lauri Jo’s began co-packing the sauce for their family business’ Christmas boxes. Now that Layne has come on board as a business partner, we have decided to market the deliciously popular sauce as Relle Mama’s under the Lauri Jo’s label! So good in meatballs with our Blueberry Pepper Jelly or by itself to dip potato chips! You and your family will find many ways to love our Mopping Sauce! #2137 Our Candied Jalapeños are a fan favorite. They are sweet with plenty of heat. They are good over cheeses but I prefer mine cooked in recipes. My favorite is in Jalapeño Bites;2 eggs to 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to 1/2 jar of Lauri Jo’s Candied Jalapeños Chopped. Mix together well and pour into greased mini muffin tins. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 mins. until golden brown. 14 LAURI JO’S 2016 CATALOG www.laurijos.com 15 Specialties Apple Butter Sweet & Spicy Onions Nothing screams fall quite like Apple Butter. Ours has just the right amount of cinnamon and spices and the slow cooked apples are a perfect consistency. Great as a side item for baked ham or pork chops and those wonderfully fresh fall veggies! A perfect addition to chicken, tuna or egg salad when finely chopped! A unique blend of seasonings and the onions are still a tad crunchy to add that new texture dimension.
