Blueskank is born in 2007 by Miguel Valenciano a.k.a. Mighty Mike (Composer,
singer and guitar placer). Focused on social activism and inside growth, the band
explores into different cultures, rythms and sounds to express a unifying message,
enriching the essence of roots reggae music with a personal way to understand
music and life.
Those different influences that make Blueskank so unique come from the great
international experience of this six young musicians, who have taken part of bands
as Jerry González, Malú, Canteca de Macao, Emeterians, Tasty Groves, Einstein,
Hotdrop… The uncommon of Blueskank is that both, reggae lovers and those who
never knew they were, try and never regret.

ACOUSTIC SET
Blueskank´s acoustic tour in 2012 took the band to almost every Spanish
city where audiences claimed for an acoustic recording which became
true in 2013. “The Wiser, the better: from the inside” is the first Ep from
show recorded for this release.

Blueskank´s first LP contains 11 self-produced tracks
built combining digital recording and analogical mixing
(Puppashan, Arturo Jiménez and Mighty Mike). Each track
is a trip itself, a stylish work plenty of jazz, blues and afro
music. Such an original album makes it hard not to listen
to it time after time.

Arena (Producciones Bajocero, 2009) is a soulful rocksteady
song. The single is completed with three different remixes
which take Blueskank close to dub (Puppashan mix), I.D.M.
(Cosmic Electric Sector mix) and break beat (Superfibonacci
& Mighty Mike mix).
