Dear Lebanon Catholic School Alumni picking up speed. This year ©Kalinoski Photography Greetings From the Principal and Friends, I would like to extend a warm welcome and thanks to all of you from your Mrs. Rose Kury Lebanon Catholic School Family. Many new initiatives have been made possible through your generosity over the past year. We have opened a full-day Pre-Kindergarten program this year with a waiting list at the start of school. Late registrations, however, prohibited the opening of a second Pre-Kindergarten class for this school year. The Pre-Kindergarten program will have the capability to educate 42 students for the 2013-2014 school year. A maximum of 21 children can be admitted to each class. Currently, we offer the option of having children in the morning session or a full-day option. Early registration will take place during Catholic Schools Week for the start of 2013-2014 school year. To save a spot for the 2013-2014 school year please contact our Development Director, Lori Kostow at 273-3731 Ext. 327. 2012 Valedictorian Bryan Bates stands with fellow graduates prior to lining up for the commencement procession on Friday, May 25, 2012. This race is the most coveted race in the Silver Crown circuit and his team has won it the last two years. Back in its day Lebanon Catholic School had one of the richest football histories in the mid-state. It’s time that we come together to celebrate that history, reconnect, and share a few laughs. We are in the infancy stages of assembling a LCHS Football Reunion Committee to plan a reunion party in 2013. The party will include past players, coaches, cheerleaders, parents, spouses and supporters of the LCHS football program. We’re looking for volunteers to help fill the gap of missing alumni and assist in the planning of this event. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Lori Kostow at (717) 273-3731, ext. 327 or [email protected] or Mrs. Jeanne Galassi Bonfanti ’65 via email at [email protected]. † 2007 – Rachel Hains graduated on May 29, 2012 from Towson University in Baltimore, MD with a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. 2009 – A.J. Nearly 1,000 student filmmakers from 100 participating campuses attended the event, with award-winning films showcased throughout the festival. A.J. is a senior at LaSalle University, and this is the team’s second consecutive year to win LaSalle’s regional competition and make it out to LA for the final international competition. “Empty Pages” also made it to the TOP 16 out of nearly 1,000 student films this year. In addition to A.J.’s creative force behind the making of the film, the success of “Empty Pages” is also credited to fellow LaSalle students: David Grzybowski, Mike McCoy, Sean Gubitosi and Catherine Zini. Retirement On June 6th, 2012 beloved faculty members Mrs. Catherine Anderson and Mrs. Katherine Clark retired from Lebanon Catholic after serving 45 years and 39 years respectively. Both teachers have toyed with the idea of retiring for a few years, but when it came time to planning their favorite classroom project, they would change their minds. The Office of Development is excited to launch the Lebanon Catholic Business Connection, an association for businesses of alumni, past and present parents and friends to share business information and to find products and services. We are pleased to offer the new Business Directory and Discount Program on Lebanon Catholic School’s website: lebanoncatholicschool.org. If you or your business is interested in participating in this directory, please contact the Office of Development via e-mail: [email protected].
