MINDFULNESS DAY
Lose your mind ~ and come
to your senses.
Sometimes there is a need to lose the busy, ego
driven mind to listen to the call of the soul, the
unconscious, the inner world ~ call it
what you will ~ and come to the
senses. Mindfulness isn’t all about
sitting in the lotus position for hours
on end. Mindfulness is a mind-body
based approach that can help us reconnect with the core of our being.
It’s a way of paying attention to the
present moment using techniques
like meditation, breathing and yoga.
Mindfulness training helps raise our
awareness of thoughts and feelings
so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, we're better able
to manage them.
So, whether you’re a mindfulness beginner or already a convert, Lynn would be delighted to meet
you and spend a day together, using mindfulness techniques that are guaranteed to calm your
mind and bring you into closer contact with the here-and now, leaving you feeling revitalised, reconnected and ~ with regular practice ~ more emotionally balanced. No fitness level required.
Lynn’s workshop style is relaxed and friendly and ~ as laughter is one of the most healing qualities
of all ~ you’re always guaranteed some fun.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness meditation affects how the brain works and even its structure.
People undertaking mindfulness training have shown increased activity in the area of
the brain associated with positive emotion ~ the pre-frontal cortex ~ which is generally less active in people who are depressed.
More than 100 studies have shown changes in brain wave activity during meditation
and researchers have found that areas of the brain linked to emotional regulation are
larger in people who have meditated regularly for five years.
Research shows that mindfulness can help with:
•
depression
•
anxiety
•
addictive behaviour
•
stress
•
chronic pain
•
chronic fatigue syndrome
•
insomnia
•
and many more emotional, mental and physical problems.
