SPANISH REGIONS – RIBERA DEL DUERO & RUEDA
Continuing our focus on individual regions, these two areas are producing
exciting wines of great texture and flavour intensity.
RIBERA DEL DUERO
RUEDA
A highly respected region and home to some of
Spains most famous wines. Located in the heart of
Castilla Leon and made up of four provinces,
the region is renowned for its deeply coloured reds
with this Pinna Fidelis, Roble Tempranillo showing
ripe red fruit and beautiful balance with lovely
intensity and versatile food matching potential.
A major white wine region located to the south of
Valladoid at an altitude of between 600–700 metres
above sea level. Almost exclusively planted to the
white grape variety Verdejo, the Marques de Riscal
and Entreflores are both perfect alternatives to
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with night time
picking ensuring maximum cool flavour extraction.
