Vince Vaccaro has identified himself as
a musician from an early age. Describing
his earliest memories, he says, “One of
my first conscious memories is the sound of a vinyl record spinning and crackling right
before the music starts to play. I remember watching Chuck Berry on the television
one morning, the black and white footage was grainy and the sound was a bit hard
on my young ears. Right then and there I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life.”
Vince has spent the last few years travelling the world and writing music deeply rooted
in emotion and experience. During that time he has shared the stage with Matt Mays
& El Torpedo, The Trews, LIGHTS and Hayley Sales and has brought his charismatic
performance to festivals across the country.
Restless to write new songs and reach more people, Vince recorded this self titled LP,
produced by legendary Canadian Neil Osborne (54-40, Jets Overhead). A
straight-up rock album that combines beat-driven intensity and strong melodic
vocals, they created an album that is instantly easy to like. It is the perfect
example of what defines Vince Vaccaro - an honest record with no tricks, no
fancy samples, just a couple of guys making real music.

It all began with house show dance parties. From
the musical town that is Guelph, Ontario comes a
unique mash-up of synths, drums, bass and guitar.
Green Go is a machine that runs hot on the fuel
that fires sweaty dance parties. Ferenc Stenton,
Jess Tollefsen, Mark Andrade, Kyle Squance, and
Adam Scott do their best to sing, play instruments
and dance, all while tearing shit up!
You might want to bring a change of clothes.
“Just when you think you’re past the whole
shouty/jerky dance-rock thing, along
comes a band like Guelph’s Green Go, who
tweak it just enough to prick up your ears
again. Darting funk fretwork and synthdriven anxiousness keep the adrenaline up
throughout, but these co-ed cats really
start cooking when they betray a bit of a
prog fetish and suspend their frantic calls
to arms in a spacier shimmer.” – Ben
Rayner, Toronto Star.

• Buju Banton’s 1992 debut album Mr. Mention earned him more #1 singles than any other Jamaica artist,
including the late great Bob Marley.
• Buju Banton’s 1995 Grammy-nominated album ‘Til Shiloh remains one of the best-selling reggae albums
of all time, ranking among Spin magazine’s Top 20 Albums of 1995 and Rolling Stone’s Best Albums Of
The Decade.
• Buju Banton’s 2006 Grammy-nominated Too Bad, released on his own Gargamel Music label, held court
on Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums chart for 37 weeks and was named one of the magazines Top Reggae
Albums for 2007.
• Buju Banton has collaborated with a ride range of artists such as John Legend, Wyclef Jean, Trey Songz,
Salif Keita, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe and Rancid.
• Buju Banton was personally invited by rock legend Dave Stewart to appear in the “American Prayer” music
video in support of then Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama.
01>DCA0BC06>CB>D;
Since the early 1990s, the uncompromising lyrical insights, razor sharp rhyming skills and gritty yet
beguilingly melodic deejay delivery of Buju Banton has dominated Jamaican music, transcending dancehall
parameters to become a universally embraced prototype for the 21st century roots reggae movement.
Fourteen years after 1995’s exalted ‘Til Shiloh, Buju Banton delivers the long-awaited opus Rasta Got Soul,
his most musically audacious work to date. The album unites his characteristic vocals and consistently
positive messages, grounded in the tenets of Rastafari, with organic roots reggae rhythms carefully crafted
by a select aggregation of Kingston, Jamaica’s finest musicians.
“Roots music is reggae’s foundation,” explains Buju, who became a dancehall superstar by riding the
latest synthesized beats with an imposing ferocity that earned him legions of loyal fans and a peerless
designation as the ‘voice of Jamaica.’ “To me the computer stuff gets monotonous; every third production
you listen to you can hear some similarity in terms of the instruments that they use, as opposed to when you
listen to something live there is always something different to catch you. I aim to bring back reggae’s original
sounds, original feeling and original consciousness through great poetry and pure live instruments.”

Our Eurythmy
The making of Our Eurythmy, was more of
a musical bonding process between the
four good friends, than it was a bunch of
dudes jamming out songs. Gathering in the
dim light of lead singer/guitarist Kevin
Kralik's basement studio, Jason Haberman
(bass), Glenn Candy (drums), Jason
Loftman (Keys, Saxophone) and Kralik
found themselves at war with their morals,
sifting through society's debris, and
harmonizing their pasts with their future.
The result is an entirely cohesive and
compelling album, that doesn't let up from
beginning to end. "The Paint Movement is
a balance of eurythmy between the four of
us. We are in a process of building musical
blueprints of the art we want to feel, hear,
and see," the band says when asked to
describe his band. 2009 will see the band
touring their debut album extensively and
continuing to turn heads with their abrasive
and moving live sets. Toronto's favorite
night blogger/critic Lonely Vagabond
described the band as, "A lush jazz-soulfeel with a vintage vibe and lush orchestral
pop energy. Inspiring music with windswept
ocean breezes splashing musical colours."
The album features guest appearances
from friends and fellow artists Dee Planche
(The Raunch), Lauren Casciato-Turner,
Jeremy Panda, Bill Candy, and more.
KEY SELLING POINTS:

Yonlu revealed just a fraction of his talent for
experimentalism and a capacity to create delicate
melodies before taking his own life at age 16,
leaving behind works that are something between
Badly Drawn Boy, Tortoise, and Nick Drake.
Vinicius Gageiro Marques, who was very active in
various online communities under the screen name
Yonlu, lived in the Southwestern Brazilian city of
Porto Alegre. He was a bright inquisitive young
man, who spoke French and wrote and spoke
English without ever taking classes (he learned by
watching TV). Vinicius also had an impressive
musical aptitude. He wrote his lyrics in English and
made them available on various websites. He
recorded hundreds of songs; playing guitars, bass,
drums and sound effects in a room in his house
that he transformed into a studio.
Cover and Booklet designed
by famed graphic novelist
Paul Hornschemeier.
After his death, his father discovered some of the
precious sounds he had stored away. The music
came with enthusiastic commentary made by
internet fans from around the world. Yonlu, almost
without any friends in real life, was virtually popular,
with fans from England, Scotland, Belgium, Canada
and North Africa.
PRESS:
“ Teenage Brazilian songwriter Yonlu …follows pretty directly in the footsteps of legends like
Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso with softly sung and strummed odes to life, but the context
is entirely flipped from what we all expect from Brazilian artists – carefree and convivial and
just looking for the next good time. Yonlu took his own life at age 16 and these songs are
the ones his parents found in his absence. That shouldn’t take away from the beauty of
some of his work, only that there will never be more of it. “ – The Fader

ON THE 14-TRACK COLLECTION, THE GROUCH & ELIGH TEAM UP ONCE AGAIN FOR A
PERFECT BALANCE OF STRAIGHTFORWARD WORDPLAY AND HIGH-CONCEPT RHYMES.
THE DUO’S THIRD COLLABORATION, SAY G&E!, FEATURES NOTABLE GUESTS: SLUG OF
ATMOSPHERE, PIGEON JOHN, GIFT OF GAB, MISTAH F.A.B., SAGE FRANCIS, MYSTIC,
AND LA’S LATEST SENSATION, BLU, ALONG WITH GUEST BEAT PRODUCTION FROM
FLYING LOTUS, SUPER-PRODUCER RICK ROCK, AND ZION I’S AMP LIVE, WHO’S
RECEIVED MAJOR BLOGOSPHERIC ACTIVITY FOR HIS RADIOHEAD GUERILLA REMIX
PROJECT. FOR ANYONE WHO’S HEARD THE GROUCH’S RECENT WORK, IT’S CLEAR
THAT THE SOUTHLAND RAPPER --WHO NOW RESIDES PART-TIME IN HAWAII--HAS
MOVED BEYOND THE AVERAGE EMCEE. AS FOUNDING MEMBERS OF THE ORIGINAL
D.I.Y. COLLECTIVE, THE LIVING LEGENDS, THE GROUCH & ELIGH HAVE BEEN AT THE
FOREFRONT OF THE WEST COAST’S INDEPENDENT RAP MOVEMENT FOR OVER A
DECADE. OUTSIDE THE LEGENDS, THE GROUCH HAS RELEASED 7 SOLO EFFORTS.
ELIGH, WHO PRODUCED MOST OF THE ALBUM, MET SCARUB AND MURS IN THE EARLY
90S AND FORMED A GROUP CALLED 3 MELONCHOLY GYPSY’S (3MG). EVENTUALLY,
ELIGH MOVED UP TO THE BAY AREA, WHERE HE MET THE GROUCH AND SUNSPOT.
THERE, THE LIVING LEGENDS OFFICIALLY FORMED. ON “ALL IN” WHERE THE GROUCH
& ELIGH, ALONG WITH GIFT OF GAB AND PIGEON JOHN RAP ABOUT STANDING BY THE
PROVERBIAL RIVER AND JUMPING IN WITH BOTH FEET AND GIVING EVERYTHING TO
THE HUSTLE IN LIFE AND MUSIC, WITHOUT FLINCHING, NOT TO MENTION A NOTABLY
INFECTIOUS HOOK. ON THE TITLE ANTHEM TRACK “SAY G&E!,” THE PAIR RECALL
THEIR EARLY DAYS AS STRUGGLING ARTISTS OVER A MESMERIZING, SYNTHESIZED
BEAT. THESE TWO AREN’T AFRAID TO TACKLE SERIOUS TOPICS EITHER. ON TRACKS
LIKE “DENIAL” AND “RIVER RUNS DRY” THE TWO CONTEMPLATE TRANSCENDENT
SIGNATURE ISSUES WITH A MATURITY AND DEPTH THAT IS OFTEN UNTAPPED IN THE
WORLD OF HIP-HOP. “THERE’S A LOT OF MANNING UP THAT’S BEEN DONE BY ELIGH
AND MYSELF RECENTLY,” SAYS THE GROUCH. “WE’VE GOT SOME HEAVY STUFF ON THE
ALBUM.”

Chris Kosnik (bass/vocals; also of Atlantic Records’ Godspeed), Bob Pantella (drums; also of

are back combining their Rush-like riff mazes and dueling vocal harmonies, creating the wall
of sound and precision The Atomic Bitchwax (TAB) fans have come to expect. In 2008 the
Jersey Shore power trio set out to record their latest eleven high energy tunes for the
appropriately titled TAB 4. Recorded by the band and mixed by Eric Rachel at the famed NJ
Trax-East Studios, this time around finds the band shifting gears over and over. From the
pulsing groove of the opening track "Revival" to the inhuman speed of the instrumental
"Super Computer," TAB 4 will leave listeners and players alike wanting more. For more than
10 years the band has climbed out from the basements of NJ to play nearly 1,000 shows in
over 20 countries, and this year will be no different with over 40 shows already booked for this
Fall alone in Europe and North America. This is no three chord bullshit...this is the Bitchwax.

San Francisco’s Assemble Head In Sunburst Sound is a soundtrack for strange days and futures bright and bleak.
But there is also a crooked thread that runs backward through every Assemble Head record – the celestial
trajectories of The Notorious Byrd Brothers and circa ‘70 Floyd; the dusty canyon stomps of Crazy Horse,
slashing action pop of the savage young Who, Italian bastardizations of Lalo Schifrin cop movie scores and the
scuzz-bomb shrapnel of latter-day garage mongers like Mudhoney and Monoshock. The band’s third LP,
When Sweet Sleep Returned, is propelled to some extent by that same glorious distillate. But it also finds the
group speaking their own twisted tongue more assuredly than ever – marrying hazy Saturday moods, interstellar
sonics and wrecking-ball swing to song and harmony in poems for California, lovers, ghosts, the stars and a
world gone stark raving mad.
For When Sweet Sleep Returned, Assemble Head re-united with engineering mastermind Tim Green, who
manned the controls for masterpieces from Howlin’ Rain, Comets On Fire, Six Organs Of Admittance and
Earthless, as well as Assemble Head’s 2007 release Ekranoplan. The band entered Green’s Louder Studios in
October 2008 with an expanded lineup including original trio Michael Lardas, Jefferson Marshall and Charlie
Saufley, longtime theremin and synth collaborator Anderson Lanbridge and mega-multi-instrumentalist Camilla
Saufley. The band also reached out to Brett Constatino and Evan Reese of fellow Frisco freaks Sleepy Sun, for
vocal harmonies on the beautifully sprawling and soaring “Two Birds.” Elsewhere, When Sweet Sleep Returned
finds Assemble Head exploring the sun-dappled terrain of daydreams on “The Slumbering Ones,” hard-chugging
crust-fuzz boogie on “Clive and the Lyre,” bittersweet melodiousness on “By the Rippling Green,” and space
temple chorale chime on “Kolob Canyon.” All this ecstatic aural gumbo – garnished with illustrations by
hyper-surrealist artist Andy Ristaino – will be served up in early April 2009 on Tee Pee Records.

A crack in the firmament, a rustling in the pines. The forest’s equilibrium is shattered
beneath the hooves of antiquity. Proscribed by the egoists, all the old sacraments have
been performed – a complete transference of potency. The air hisses with mercury and
magnetism. Fire swallows the land. In stillness they wait as the sky bleeds white,
players in a proto-mythic drama with outcome unknown. (Not the band, though –
that would be cheesy.)
This information is as useful or useless as anyone chooses. All else – the sound,
the color, the shape of things, the light and shade of narrative and molecular
dispensation – is left to the atmosphere. It’s here and then it’s gone. It’s always there.
Or maybe it was never there, not ever. It’s an imagined memory, the ultimate false
dawn. A psychic eclipse that blinds the mind’s eye. How’s that for high melodrama,
for existential cryptography? Sometimes, vagueness and vagaries have to suffice.
For those who prefer terra firma, though? Call it ambient post-doom. Call it alchemic
psych-rock, only without all those annoying freeform guitar freakouts. Call it “pure
spirits by ritual dismemberment.” Either way, Black Math Horseman is Sera Timms
(bass/vocals), Ian Barry (guitar) Bryan Tulao (guitar) and Sasha Popovic (drums). They
are from Los Angeles. Their debut album Wyllt was recorded and produced by desert
guru Scott Reeder (Kyuss, Unida). The rest is a discovery about to be made.

Impressions of the West Lake is a modern day
opera conceived and directed by internationally
acclaimed filmmaker Zhang Yimou(Hero, Curse of
the Golden Flower), the visionary artist behind the
opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008
Olympics in Beijing. The production is highlighted
by music composed by the Grammy and Golden
Globe Award winning artist Kitaro. This pairing of
East-meets-West is a rare combination of two
artists at the peak of their creative talents.
The opera also marks a reunion for Kitaro and
music arranger Randy Miller, the pair’s first effort
together since the Golden Globe-winning
soundtrack to Oliver Stone’s 1993 film Heaven and
Earth. The show’s soundtrack also features rising
Chinese pop star Jane Shang, a gifted young
performer who provides stunning vocals to the
production on the title track, “Impressions Of The
Westlake.”
Through the course of his career, Kitaro has sold
millions of albums worldwide. Kitaro’s various
sound collaborations and resonant, multi-textured
compositions, with their crescendos of passion and
eases of serenity, truly defy the constraints of any
genre.
His pioneering fusion of cultures,
techniques and spheres of consciousness is truly
his own. With Impressions Of The West Lake,
Kitaro continues to explore new, uncharted terrain
with his magnificently expansive vision and everquesting spirit.

DESCRIPTION
Living distinctly parallel lives in American-born art forms of Folk Music and
Hip Hop, respectively, Mother & Son: Jo Wilkinson and Eligh (of the California
collective Living Legends) have crafted a truly groundbreaking collaborative
musical experience. On Sacred Ground, is a culmination of years of toying with
the idea of making an album together, a time that arrived when both Eligh and Jo
came to the simultaneous realization, surprisingly without recent conversation.
In addition to his signature rapidfire lyrical delivery as a Legends fan favorite,
Eligh is an accomplished producer and sat at the helm for this project. This
socially conscious family has been recognized by everyone from Ry Cooder to
Pete Seeger and Sage Francis to MURS. In addition to the recognition of such
luminaries, Jo recalls being recognized at Legends shows (also having appeared
on many LL recordings as guest vocalist) with fans thanking her for “giving birth
to the poet man”. On Sacred Ground includes guests: The Grouch, Slug (of
Atmosphere), Jiro Yamaguchi (of Ozomatli), Pigeon John, among others.

QUOTES
“Jo -- congrats to you & Eligh for a wonderful CD. The Wilkinson Family carries on....’Praises’ is a
highpoint. One thing I would have loved: to hear an audience singing the line ‘come together to the healing
ground’....”---- Pete Seeger
“It’s a great rarity to hear a music project shared between mother and son. It’s an even greater rarity for the
folk world and hip-hop world to meet at the halfway point without one dominating the other. This is a hybrid
of music genres that infuses so many styles that you’re not sure whether to throw your hands up and say
‘ho!’ or hold hands and sing along. That’s a good confusion.”---- Sage Francis
“’On Sacred Ground’ sounds like nothing I’ve ever heard before. It is the perfect and seamless blend of two
musical worlds. An audio alliance that could only be pulled off so perfectly by mother and son. This album
represents the evolution of American music.”---- Murs
“Always a fan of Jo Wilkinson’s music, I can now add Eligh to my list of favorites. This album is beautiful,
original, edgy, and traditional -- all at once. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s a collaboration whose time
has come.” ---- Mary Buckley, KXCI-FM, Tucson

Floating Action - Floating Action
Street Date: April 21st, 2009
DESCRIPTION
After Seth Kauffman’s 2006 debut and 2007 follow-up left critics
drawing comparisons as diverse as Motown to the Carribean, Kauffman returns
as Floating Action. This April, Park The Van Records will release Floating Action’s
self-titled debut, and Kauffman’s most accomplished work to date. Once again
Kauffman has performed and recorded virtually every note himself at his home
studio, and – in an age where obsessive computer editing and auto-tuning
are taking the humanity out of even most home recordings – once again his
refreshingly organic approach to making music is receiving rave reviews:
“Kauffman sounds like no one else out there, whipping up a sort of world music
from another planet altogether. “ — Houston Free Press
