Well, not to worry if you haven't because this year you have twelve days to complete your Passport and enter to win the Grand Prize. Voting at each restaurant has been made easier this year too by voting from your phone. I have already done this and snap, just that easy. You have to love technology. Get your Passport Stamped! Your Clearwater Beach Chamber made history again on Friday night with the Taste Fest. An outstanding attendance of over 5,000 people. Thanks in great part to our determined leader Rick Norberg who arranged the most awesome T.V. and radio appearance each day all last week with many of our restaurants. The added publicity pushed the awareness of our event over the top. It was our best Taste Fest ever and nothing but good feedback from one and all. Rick Norberg & Darlene Kole A Flash back to Last Friday, at the Clearwater Beach Taste Fest 2015 Although the party is over now the best part begins. Go to our participating restaurants and VOTE on your experience. Let us know who you think should WIN for Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, Best Dessert and Best Overall Experience. From Donna's corner of the beach.... First of all, I want to heap praise on the Chamber staff‐‐ Darlene, Vickie, Liz, Roberto, Michael, as well as the Norbergs, various committee chairs, the VC staff and everyone else who assisted in putting on TasteFest. What an event! It was bigger and better than ever. Well done, Everyone! I had more company last week, this time college friends in from Illinois. They were doing a week of Disney in Orlando and came to see me for a day. Neither had been to Clearwater previously, so I knew they needed the royal tour. I drove them all around Island Estates, North Beach, Sand Key, Harbor Oaks and more. Of course, there were many stops along the way‐‐ Sand Key Park, Surf Style, the Chamber office, Pier 60 and our wonderful beach. Our lunch at Palm Pavilion was outstanding, as I introduced Cindy and Dave to our local grouper. After several photo ops, walking the beach in two different places, and heading for an ice cream at Pier 60, I gave them a break. In my zeal, I had worn them out. I got the car and picked them up at Pier 60. We went back to my place for coffee and sodas before their uneventful drive back to Orlando‐‐someone had misinformed them that driving here would be terrible‐‐and I assured them that May was an ideal time to drive here. The next day they reported that they had slept 10 hours that night. But we all posted photos and memories of our day together. Two more new fans of Clearwater Beach!
