Relationship Remarks...by Bob Thomas
I thank God for Thanksgiving, a national holiday dedicated to gratitude toward God. Because the focus for my 2015 relationship
remarks has been God’s Word, I will start November’s comments with gratitude for God’s Word.
Psalm 19:7-8 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; The
statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:89 Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the
Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
One of the His greatest gifts is His Holy Word. I am grateful that God didn’t leave us guessing,
but He didn’t tell us everything. At this stage of the game we don’t have the capacity to handle
“everything”. He did however tell us everything necessary for us to know, trust, love and obey
Him. He told us through Scripture. When there is no specific commentary for issues, topics and
questions, there are over-arching principles that apply.
Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is,
the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
This November I am going to be intentionally grateful to God for the Bible. Will you join me?
Will you think about all God’s blessings in your life that come to you through His Word?
Thanksgiving is a holiday, a mindset, a practice & a biblical concept.

Evening of Encouragement, West Plains, MO
Rejoicing & Requests
Fifty eight kingdom leaders & spouses from a variety of
denominations came together for an Evening of Encouragement
in West Plains, MO. Eight to 10 served & ministered to our
guests. God touched hearts & tears flowed as we ate,
fellowshipped, prayed & worshiped. One person commented...
“We haven’t been together like this in 12 - 15 years.”

Bob & the crowd engaged
About 20 years ago Bob preached a revival at Grace Church. About 12 years ago Bob met
Jackson Watts at the Missouri State Youth Camp. Jackson represented Welch College in
Nashville, TN. By God’s grace, the church, Jackson & Bob were together again. Bob shared
sermons showing the connection between revival, relationships & evangelism. Bob also
presented My Hope with Billy Graham. Driving down the road, Jackson commented
to Bob... “you are not only a mentor, but you are also my friend.” This was a great event!

I am thankful for God’s grace
in preparation & preaching.
Many people responded
during the invitation times.
Bob spent an evening with Pastor Ken, Jodi,
Cole & Ellie Simpson. This family has become
great friends with Bob & BTM. They shared
some great food, a tour of downtown St. Louis
& a million laughs. Ken commented that his
kids would talk for months about this outing.
Afterwards, Pastor Ken & Bob spent quality time
looking at God’s Word, praying & planning for a
BTM event at Calvary Fellowship, Fenton, MO,
March 2016. The event topic will be
dedicated to prayer & spiritual refreshing.
