 Training Course “A CreACTive Approach For a Better World” 15-­‐22 October, 2012 Cosnita, Chisinau, Moldova Action 3.1, Youth in Action Programme INFO-­‐PACK About the Training Course The Training Course “A CreACTive Approach for a Better World” aims to explore the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative way to solve social problems using entrepreneurial skills and youth voice. The project will focus on the concept of the social entrepreneurship in general and will bring a specific scope on the entrepreneurship skills, leadership and management, needs, problem analysis as well as funding and financing -­‐ all being explored in the context of youth organizations and volunteering. In this way the training course will serve as a platform for young entrepreneurs learning how to build a better world in a healthier environment and diminish poverty in spite of using traditional and outdated practices, employing creative youth initiatives and promoting social entrepreneurship. Project language: English. Aim: To explore the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative way to solve social problems using entrepreneurial skills and youth voice. Working methods: Daily plenaries, followed by Questions & Answers sessions; Interactive and creative workshops; Practical simulation games; Open Space Technology; Meeting with facilitators and managers of social entrepreneurship in Chisinau; Debates; Intercultural & interactivity games and non-­‐formal learning. Target group: Young people and youth workers from various social groups that are active in their organisations and wish to gain more skills and knowledge in entrepreneurial thinking and approach. It is expected to target around 30 young people in the age of 18-­‐30, participants coming from 11 organizations from EU (Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Italy, Austria) and EECA (Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Turkey, Ukraine, Armenia) region from rural and urban areas. Project Dates You are expected to arrive on 15 October, before19.00 and departure on 22 October, before 12.00 (after breakfast). If you plan to come earlier or stay after the TC, you will be responsible for your own stay. Accommodation and Catering The project will run 30 km from Chisinau, in the Summer Camp “Prietenia” (Friendship). You will stay in 2 or 3 bedrooms with toilet and shower inside. Camp Address: The Summer Camp “Prietenia”. Village Cosnita, Dubasari district, Str. Prieteniei. Please note: all rooms are strictly non-­‐smoking! The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided free for you during the training course duration. Please make sure you indicated your dietary requirements in the application form. Financial Issues Regarding the Travel Reimbursement – 70% of your travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the Youth in Action Programme rules and in the limits of the travel budget (please see travel means and price limits per country/per person in the table below). The reimbursement will be made upon your arrival to the training course, based on the travel documents such us: original tickets, invoice and boarding passes. Please make sure you have all original documents after purchase of your travel. The insurance will be on your own responsibility, without being reimbursed. We encourage you to make sure you have one. Moldovian Currency is Leu: 1 Euro = 15.50 Leu ; 1 USD = 12.90 Leu. P.S. The international advice not to change money at the airport is not valid in Moldova. The rates are the same as in the city. Visa and Passport issues All project partner countries do not require VISA to enter the Republic of Moldova except the case of Turkey. VISAs for Turkish participants will be dealt separately and will be 100% reimbursed upon arrival. For EU citizens: please make sure you have your valid passport (NOT ID card) to travel to Moldova. Transportation We will meet you at the airport, bus or train station with smile on our faces J. Make sure you indicate the arrival location and time in the participation form. Together we will go to the Summer Camp “Prietenia” were the project will run. Travel information Please note: only cheapest means of transport/fares are subject to reimbursement. Preliminary Agenda What to bring?... Hmmmmmmmm… For intercultural night “World Mix Evening” – you are expected to bring things (pictures, souvenirs, music, food, drinks etc.) that represent your country and your own identity. We do believe that you have a lot of things to say, show and share – so don’t be lazy to take them with you to Moldova. For your organization presentation on “Networking Evening” – it will be nice if you can bring something touchable, but the most important is to get sure you have enough information to present about your organization. (P.S. Make sure you know what your organization is all about;) For yourself – if you have any special needs (medicine, dietary, allergy etc.) please be sure you have all necessary equipment with you!
