Come in, Cool Off and Enjoy the Exhibits
It may be hot outside, but it’s
always cool inside the Doss Heritage
and Culture Center. See our newest
exhibits Connecting Threads and With
My Needle and visit some old friends
in the permanent galleries while you
are here. The DHCC is also a great
place to bring out of town friends to
learn more about Parker County.
The museum is open Tuesday
through Saturday from 10 a.m .to 5 p.m.
and Sundays 1 to 5. The DHCC will be
closed July 3 and 4 for Independence
Day.
With My Needle
Through June 30
The exhibit
With My Needle
showcases over
500 pieces of
needlework.
“Some are
whimsical, others
are classic designs and images. It’s amazing
the amount of hours and talent that are
included,” said C.B. Williams, Exhibit
Curator. The needlework exhibit showcases
the work of the Fort Worth Chapter of The
Embroiderers’ Guild of America.
Connecting
Threads featuring
handwoven rugs
and tapestries of
masterweaver Sherri
Woodard Coffey and
jewelry and masks
from fiber artist Pat
Souder. “The colors
are so vibrant and the
masks have so much
personality in each
one. You have to see
them to believe them,”
said Betsy Pedigo,
Operations Manager. See Connecting Theads
during regular museum hours.
