ITALIAN GRANTOUR - Club Mulholland Ltd
Belmond Villa San Michele, Florence I TA L I A N G R A N T O U R 06-13 SEPTEMBER 2014 In September we will be going on the ultimate tour of Northern Italy. Having spent several years seeking out the very finest roads in the Alps, for 2014 we are also including the Dolomites; Lake Como; doing two (optional) track days at Imola and Mugello; having a private tour of the Ferrari Factory and returning home via the Black Forest. Belmond Villa San Michele, Florence It wouldn’t be a proper Club Mulholland Grantour without a beautiful destination at the end of each days driving. Therefore, you can add the very finest hotels in Northern Italy to our itinerary. That’s #ClubMulhollandStyle and this promises to be our very finest Grantour. Ever. Villa d’Este, Lake Como The finest hotel bed linen is well earned after an exhilarating days driving. We don’t drive dangerously, but we do push the cars – so if you’re after a gentle tour on the mountain roads then this may not be trip for you. Working with one of our Italian Members, we’ve added some fabulous new roads and for those that have been on these tours before – worry not, Offenpass is still in there! We couldn’t go to Northern Italy without a little stop off in Maranello. We’ve arranged for a private tour of their facility with Luca di Montezemelo himself coming to see us (all being well). Their ‘Museo’ has some of the very finest Ferraris ever built, so this element will be a highlight for most… Imola, Autodromo Internazionale Enzo E Dino Ferrari, is one of the most famous circuits in the world, let alone in Italy. Part of that legend is due to claiming the life of Ayrton Senna in 1994 – 20 years ago. Club Mulholland will be paying its respects to this legendary driver in the only way we know how – by taking to the track. If one trackday simply isn’t enough, then we also have a day at L’autodromo del Mugello. Most will take this as a half-day because in the evening we will be dining in the beautiful Villa d’Este on Lake Como. You can stay all day if you prefer, or miss this trackday altogether – it’s up to you. Both of these are private days with all cars having 300bhp+. The caliber of cars participating is excellent, the access unrivaled. It could be the only time you’ll get to drive these circuits so why not do both days? The choice is yours. I TA L I A N G R A N T O U R ITINERARY & COSTS Saturday 6th September Guests meet in the Palace Hotel, Luzern for dinner.
