WELCOME HOME, HALEY JEAN JOHNSON! The Johnsons had A LOT to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! Haley was born on Tuesday, November 9th at 7:52 PM. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces and
is as beautiful as can be! Both she and Katherine are healthy and doing well. The Johnson family is
excited about their newest addition and want to thank you for your prayers over the last several
months. You can continue to pray for sleep if you would like.
November 6th was FCA Gameday with Baylor Volleyball! It was a great
time, with nearly 50 in attendance. Two Baylor athletes, Chelsey (golf) and
Nate (baseball), shared their stories. It is always a blessing to get to hear
about God’s work, spend time in fellowship, and watch some volleyball!
A few other things… Our most recent Leadership Board meeting was
held on November 4th, and was quite possibly our best ever. 12 were in
attendance and we had a great time of discussion and productivity. We are grateful for each
person who serves on the FCA board. We have gotten many Victory Bowl nominations in this past month. Coaches, if you
haven’t already, DON’T FORGET to send in yours! Finally, please remember the Heart of Texas FCA in your giving this December. Donations need to be in by the 1st of the year; online giving is the easiest way to make sure your gifts are in on time!
We are so thankful for the support you show FCA. Your prayers and support are treasured.
FCA Huddle of the Month

HUDDLE OF THE MONTH! Here at FCA we would like to start recognizing the huddles
in our area. It is our goal to shine a spotlight on one huddle a month to encourage
others by what is taking place. Huddle sponsors, remember to email
([email protected]) or fax (254.227.6017) us the Huddle of the Month form so that
we can hear about your huddle and share your news in upcoming newsletters. Below
is an update from Coach Mike Finnell on what is going on at Bosqueville!
“We meet every Tuesday during lunch. The students bring their lunch to the gym where we
have someone speak. This has been local youth pastors, coaches, and even student leaders
themselves. We have one parent that meets the kids each week in the cafeteria and encourages them to head to the gym once they get their lunch and student leaders also get kids
heading that way as well as greeting them at the gym once they arrive. We average about
50 kids each week and have even had days of 65+. We have hosted one gym night where we
had parents prepare food, goodies, and we played all sorts of games and had an x-Baylor athlete come and speak to the kids. Each Monday the student leaders meet in my room for a
devotion and time to pray for each other and the campus.”
A Christmas Prayer — God, prepare us for this season as we remember your coming and
anticipate your return. Be present among us as we meditate on the true significance of
Christmas. Come, O come, Emmanuel!
