Miracles
Dear City of Praise Family,
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do
what I say? As for everyone who comes to me
and hears my words and puts them into practice,
I will show you what they are like. They are like
a man building a house, who dug down deep
and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood
came, the torrent struck that house but could
not shake it, because it was well built. But the
one who hears my words and does not put them
into practice is like a man who built a house on
the ground without a foundation. The moment
the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its
destruction was complete” (Luke 6:46-49 NIV).

There are those who come to church every
Sunday, listen to sermon after sermon, even
work diligently in various ministries, but still
have not truly opened their hearts to a loving
God. They can quote scriptures verbatim, but
do not apply it to their everyday lives. They are
disobedient and carnal, sounding religious and
saying all the right things, but have no personal
relationship with Him and no faith in His Word.
They have no foundation, and like a house built
without a foundation, when the grounds move
beneath them, or when the winds of trouble
come, they will fall. God is more concerned
about your walk than your talk. He wants your
trust, your mind, your heart, and your total
obedience. Only then can He be the Lord of
your life, the Foundation on which you can
stand, and your Protection, no matter what life
brings your way.

Expect
Miracles

“
For I know the plans I
have for you,” declares
the LORD, “plans to
prosper you and not
to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future”
(Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
God has a plan for each and every one of us. He
knew us before we were formed in our mother’s
womb, and His plan for us, the purpose that He
assigned to us, the reason He brought us to this
earth realm in this human body was formulated
from the foundation of time. With more than 7
billion people presently living on this earth, it
sounds incomprehensible. But that is the God
that we serve. He knows each of us personally
and loves us individually. And because of His
love for you, He wants a relationship with you that
will transform your life. He wants you to seek him
sincerely, and this transformation will make you
ready to receive all of the blessings that He has
in store for you. Allow Him to make the necessary
changes in your heart and mind so that you learn
to love and trust Him, live in Him and for Him.
Ask Him for knowledge, patience, wisdom and
understanding. And believe that He will always be
there for you, never to leave you nor forsake you.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who
earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)
God wants you stirred up to walk in your purpose,
to use the gifts and talents that He has given you, to
receive the desires that He has put in your heart. But
the message says that He will give you an “expected”
end. That means you must walk in faith, expecting the
very best from Him. This does not mean that you will
be spared pain, suffering or hardships in your life, but
He promises, if you trust Him to do so, if you EXPECT
Him to do so, He will bring you out with a glorious
end. And He will perform miracles to place your feet
on the solid ground where you belong. He will do
what He must, even astounding the most educated
and learned people, to show that He is God and that
you belong to Him. “You are the God who performs
miracles; you display your power among the peoples”
(Psalm 77:14).
He told this Branch of Zion that this is the year
of Radical Results. Radical means outstanding,
“very new and different from what is traditional or
ordinary”, according to Webster. That means get
ready to see something that you have never seen
before! Get ready to be blessed beyond measure!
Expect God to perform the miraculous in your life,
and it will come to pass.
