Have you ever seen a race car and wondered why they have so
many product stickers on them? The answer is pretty simple.
Each sticker represents an opportunity
for that competitor to earn extra cash
if they win and use those products.
Starting this September, the National
Barbecue Association will start our
own contingency program but with a
barbecue touch to it.

If you are a competitor and have a
current paid NBBQA membership then
you could be set to win some extra cash
at the events listed below as long as you can meet the sponsor
criteria. Example criteria would be showing proof of purchase,
flying a banner or agreeing to let the sponsor use you in their
marketing programs.

Being a sponsor is also easy. You just have to be a paying
NBBQA member and agree to post a cash amount to winning
competitors who meet your criteria. This is a great opportunity
to use proven winners to promote your product and even gain
valuable consumer feedback. It’s also very economical since
the cash prize is only awarded if a team wins and they use the
product as directed.
The NBBQA is currently seeking sponsors and competitors
to join the program. The five events listed below will be a test
run for the 2012 season. We will be on site at each of these
events to sign up teams; just make sure you do it before the
first turn-in. If all goes well, we hope to expand to some
20+ events across the country. For more information about
