Kuching, Kota amarahan to
host 18th National Paralympiad
KUCHING: A total of 1,400
athletes will take part in the 18th
National Paralympiad to be held
in Kuching and Kota Samarahan
from Aug 6-10.
A total of nine sports will
be contested by athletes with
disabilities such as blindness,
mentally challenged and
spasticity who are out tomake
a name for themselves at the
national level.
Archery will take place at the
U’nimas archery range, athletics
at Sarawak Stadium, badminton
at Unimas sports complex,
chess at DeTAR Putra, Unimas,
lawn bowls at Sarawak Lawn
Bowls Arena, powerlifting
at Dewan Jubli, UiTM Kota
Samarahan, swimming at
Sarawak Aquatic Centre, tenpin
bowlingattheMegalanesSarawak
and table tennis at Stadium
Perpaduan.‘
The Chief Minister Datuk
Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem is
expected to officiate at the opening
ceremony at Stadium Perpaduan‘
on Aug 6.
