J., Aug. 1.—The Stute (Jump of the Patriotic Order Sons of Ameriea will be held in Washington August 20-21. Many of the delegates are expected to arrive on Monday, Au gust lilth. It is expected that Fred (J. T’orrey, of Lakehurst, now State Vice President, will be advanced to be the head of the State camp. Preparations are being made by the committee from Washington Camp, No. 20, to entertain the 000 or more dele gates in a hosuitable milliner. Special attractions are being arranged for the amusement park and the Jewel Theatre for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday n'Iightseeing tours are being planned by the committee for Tuesday morning. There will be a special attraction at the meeting of Camp No. 26 on Wednesday night, and many of th« delegotes are expected to remain over for the meeting. One of the big attractions at the con vention will be Sousa’s band of fifty pieces, which will give a concert in Skalla’s Park on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 20. It is expected Washington will be elaborately deco rated for the convention. Some o f the South Jersey camps have notified the committee that they will send large delegations. Palmyra will send thirty-three delegates: Trenton will be represented by about fifty delegates: Atlantic City’s delegation of twenty will accompany the State president, Charles L. Blackman. There are 170 camps In the State, and it is expected that every camp will be represented. Mayor C. B. Smith will deliver the address of welcome to the delegates. ’The convention will be held in the Opera House.
