Howland, Cortland, or Champion.
Borrow up to $1200 for 12 months
at 12.00% APR*
*Annual Percentage Rate. A sample monthly payment
for a $1,200 loan at 12% APR for 12 months would be
approximately $106.60. Sample monthly loan payment does
not include Credit Life & Disability Insurance, which is
available at an additional cost to the member. Loan rate is
determined by personal credit history.
11th Annual Becky Bowden Memorial Community
Service Scholarship for Higher Education!
We are now accepting applications for the 11th Annual Becky Bowden Memorial
Community Service Scholarship which was created in honor of our
colleague and friend, Becky Bowden. Becky passed away in 2005
and was a valued member of our credit union family. Two
individuals will be awarded a $200 scholarship. To apply, please
complete the application on the back of this newsletter and return
to the credit union by Thursday, April 29, 2016.

General Requirements for Scholarship
1. The student must be a member or a child of a member of the First Choice Community Credit Union Inc. for a
minimum of two years.
2. The student must be a senior graduating from high school the current year.
3. The student must have at least a 2.50 grade point average of a scale of 4.0.
4. The student must submit an official high school transcript (a copy is sufficient.)
5. The student must provide one letter of recommendation.
6. The student must provide a list of community services and extracurricular activities.
7. The student must prepare a Volunteer Essay (not to exceed 300 words) telling us why volunteer work within the
community is important to them and how they feel they made a difference by volunteering.
8. The scholarship will be granted without regard to sex, race, or creed.
9. The scholarship will be paid directly to the student to be used for tuition, fees, and book expenses.
10. Application deadline is April 29, 2016.
11. The scholarship is not renewable.
12. Copy of Letter of Admittance must be provided to receive scholarship funds.
