Music Notes
from Roger
It’s back from vacation and back to music
making! Our Parish Choir will resume rehearsals on
Thursday Sept. 10, and will return to sing at the
11:00am Mass on Sunday beginning Sept. 13.
Music is an integral part of the Mass and the
choir is a wonderful opportunity for folks to become
more deeply involved in our worship life. The choir is
open to all who enjoy choral singing. In addition, it
has been said: rehearsing and singing in the choir is
great way to unwind from a long week. Come to
rehearsal, and have some fun with a wonderful group
of folks who enjoy making beautiful music. We are
looking for new members to help fill our choir loft.
The Parish Choir rehearses on Thursday
evenings from 7:30-9:00pm in the choir loft. Come
and give us a try. All voice parts are needed.
1st rehearsal: Thursday, September 10 at 7:30pm
1st Choir Mass: Sunday, September 13 at 11:00am
Children’s Choir

1st Children’s Choir Mass: Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9:00am

Religious Education
We are in need of teachers for our parish
Religious Education classes. Volunteers in our
Religious Education program are responsible for
faith formation of our most treasured resource –
our children. Although each parent is the primary
educator of their children in matters of faith,
catechists provide an indispensable service to the
children and their families by sharing their faith
and giving their time to explain the teachings of the
Catholic Church. As an additional benefit,
catechists deepen their own faith through the
experience of teaching it to others.
Classes are offered most weeks
for grades 1 through 8 on Monday and Tuesday at
4:30pm and 6:00pm.
Classes start on September 21 & 22.
Please sign up~ classes are filled on a first
registered first assigned basis. Registration forms
can be found at the back foyer of the church
If you are interested in learning more about
volunteering in the Religious Education
Program, please call Karen Culhane at
(508) 481-7535 or
email [email protected] .
